Chocolat (KUBONOUCHI Eisaku) is pretty good too! It's bout a bunch of ex-yakuzas opening a bakery shop.

and the mangas by Itou Junji, my most fav. are Uzumaki and Itou Junji Kyoufu Manga Collection

Gokusen, is similar, except it's a female teacher who is part of the Yakuza. The art's crappy in the beginning chapters, but get's WAY better later on

I second Gokusen. It's freaking hilarious. And yes, the art does suck in the beginning, but it gets better in later volumes. It's a really good series....at least, as far as I'm concerned 😃

Theres other mangas by the artist FUJISAWA Tohru that somewhat fit, like Kamen Teacher (FUJISAWA Tohru) and such

Also maybe Hareluya

Kunimitsu no Matsuri and Shibatora , bothare from the same mangaka... The story and the characters are very very close to GTO... Hope you'll enjoy them...

M.C. Law kinda reminds me of GTO but it's about a young lawyer. (But it's not as outrageous as GTO)
