My wish is ...
to get to taste sushi, onigiri, mochi, soba, somen ... and a bit of sake ( heard it is quite heavy and easy to get you drunk )
to wear and have a kimono, yukata
to see fireworks, catch goldfish at summer festivals
to visit shrines and enjoy picnics under sakura trees
to meet "by chance" bishies like Matsumoto Jun, Mizushima Hiro... on the streets
...
to stay in Japan for 1 year... and that's all.

I'm going to fulfill my dreams by learning Japanese now

I would love to live there maybe for a year or two. I would probably only go if someone I knew went with me. Mostly cuz I'm directionally challenged and I can barely get around even in my own area. ; Though, after visiting Japan for two weeks, the street signs got easier to figure out (I went with my family, and I was essentially the translator since I studied 2 years prior to the trip). Maybe as soon as I learn how to use DC metro, I'd go by myself.

It would be interesting to experience the culture, but I don't think I would want to stay forever. There are other places I would rather live than Japan, honestly, and being near my family is important to me too.

Probably not long-term. I like living places for a two or three years, gives a better feeling of the overall culture than a two-week vacation, but don't think I'd ever want to live anywhere other than my home country for longer than that.

It's like water! Well, at least it's not heavy and easy to get you drunk. It's about the same as wine, or a bit stronger. Maybe you've gotten some terms in English usage mixed up. Since sake refers to all alcohol drinks in Japan. Shouchuu is stronger.

definately, but I can't speak japanese, and I don't really want to stand out, but I'm swedish so pale, blonde, etc.

If it means to pursue my career and explore most of the culture I have read and heard so much about, I probably would stay there (though not before I learn and read Japanese).

As much as I love anime, manga, technology, etc; speak Japanese; and visited it twice in my lifetime, the answer is no. Unless I was offered an enormous amount of money or was born or lived there for many years, I like my life where it is and see it difficult to adjust to the change in lifestyle. The living space and human congestion bothers me the most.

I'd visit there, but move there?!
maybe manga is just being manga, but i feel like japan is kinda... messed up... o____o

prolly only on an interim basis if say i had a company and had a branch in japan, but otherwise japan is alright in small doses
