Manga where main protagonist's romantic interest doesn't look human?

The main protagonist (doesn't matter if its a boy or girl ) has an encounter with someone who doesn't look human (it doesn't matter how they meet), and then, over time, begins to develop feelings for him/her despite his/her apearance. Pretty much a Beauty And The Beast type of deal. It doesn't have to have the same storyline, but just the same concept. However, I'd like it if the guy or girl doesn't turn into a human somewhere along the way, but always looks different.
Example: Koketsu Dining (Yaoi).

Preferences:
If the 'non-human' was female, I'd prefer the main protagonist to be female, too.
If the 'non-human' is male, however, it doesn't matter what gender the main protagonist is.

Just one MAJOR no-no: Hentai!
I don't mind reading yaoi or ecchi, but Hentai is not my thing at all.

Niehime to Kemono no Ou, The Magician's Bride, Boukyaku no Shirushi to Hime are the shoujos I can recall having obviously non-human characters. There was another one, I think, where the male lead shape-shifted into a demon during daytime, although I can't remember what it was called.
