Manga series really finished or not...?

Hmmm, I'm wondering if this manga is done. I can't tell for sure. On Status of Origin it says that the manga is complete at 12 volumes and yet the person/group who said that the last chapter is scanslated says that the series is done at volume 8. So which is it? 🙂
Although, there might be an "alternative" way that the volumes were printed, I think the benko ones instead of the tankouban ones that just aren't mentioned here? :/

The last scanlation group that did it says it goes up to volume 10, but I don't know as I haven't read up to that point. Just read up to volume 10 and if it says the end or something it's probably the last one...either that or if it seems like a ending it just might be?

That's because the US publisher of Narutaru dropped the series i.e. the two chapters published for volume 10 (based on volume numbering in US) thus far are the last chapters that will be published/serialized by said US publisher (Dark Horse, I think). But how is this related to the scanlations you ask? I think what you've been reading were scans (and not scanlations) of the Dark Horse releases.
I believe scanlators however have picked up the series and are currently working on volume 9 onwards (based on the volume numbering from Japan; i believe it corresponds to the chapters where Dark Horse left off. Check the wikipedia entry for info on chapter correlation). So umm... yay?
