The cauldron was lighted about...2 hours ago...
So, anyone have any prediction, comments, encouraging words, etc.?
I don't normally watch sports or the olympics, but they're in my city right now so...erm...go canadian women's hockey team! Yay!

Hmm... Yeah, the Opening Ceremony was better than I expected. ^_^;;
I didn't find anything wrong with it, but apparently there was some mess-up with lighting the torch. However, I didn't really notice anything at the end... 😕
(But no offense to anybody, I can't personally say I'm too pleased the Olympics are in the city... ahem for far too many reasons... >:-( )
Disparaging thoughts aside, I did like all the nice spirit it seemed to give the people around the city. The majority of my school actually went out and participated in the torch relay. GASP
Yes, it had to take the Olympics to give my school some spirit. 🙄 🤣
I liked the effects. personally, i was more impressed with this opening than that of the Bejing Olympics
as for the sports, I only watch skiing, snowboarding, and hockey and the don't start for a few days

i usualy never watch the openings of olympic games
they are SO BORING
i watched the ski jump before and changed channel when the openings came on lol
i usualy watch all and everything from the olympics
fake sickness or take vacation to actually be able to see everything
the time diffreance is annoying[6-7h so most of the good stuff starts at around midnight my time]
as long as their will be no cute girls who fakesing when the uglysingingone stands behind the scenes in vancouvers closing act this Olympics will be better than the Peking horrorfest

Well, I didn't watch the openings or anything, but a friend sent me this video. Apparently someone died during a luge practice run. Sad.
I kind of like watching Ice Hockey and Freestyle Skiing. The Curling event, sometimes.
I didn't watch the opening, but I'm planning to watch snowboarding and the bobsleigh events.

Tickets to see figure skating.
It's so close to home, so I'm excited to go.
I like winter sports in general.
