Alright, I just ended reading the last 15 scanlations and i'm shocked. So it seems, up to chapter 54, it was a prologue. Canut has become a dude (she is a girl, right?) and Thorfinn, well is back to a slave, though he has matured a bit or well just has lost his reason to fight. I don't know how much time has passed after the prologue, probably a few months since Thorfinn can use both hands and still is small, but he's not short-tempered anymore.
I was hoping for some implicit love between canut and thorfinn, but I guess it's too early or too late for that.
Anyway, can't wait to see the story unfold now.

OMG! Rereading earlier chapter you're right. I guess all that teasing about him looking more like a princess than a prince in earlier chapters got me thinking too much haha.

So far so good, the manga has entered a new transitional stage which I find very interesting. It sure has me thinking, "what about England?"

Thorfinn has probably entered some state of amnesia, or shock for that matter. I'm just wondering why Canute would make him into a slave? If he was sold directly to the "nice master" it would make a lot of sense.

57!!! What an ending. I didn't understand why they were focusing on the master's son, but I guess Thorfinn might have to kick some ass sooner than later.

As already wrote, yes Canute is a male, in Denmark we call him Knud the great (pronounced with a soft "d") he is an actual person and was the king of Denmark, England and during his final years also Norway. his father Swein is known as Sven Forkbeard, because he had his beard tied in two "ponytails" or alike, his brother Harald II is also real and so is Thorkell... Now I dont know if Knud actually looked like a chick, thats probably the author who decided that...

A little history of Denmark... and part of sweden as Thorkell was from scania, though at the time it was a part of the kingdom of denmark...
