Maybe it's the other half of the nine tail's chakra? (There was one chapter where Sasuke goes into Naruto's head and sees the nine tailed fox right?) Or the power of the other tailed beasts the Akatsuki captured (this seems a bit less probable since Tobi didn't trust Sasuke all that much)?

Or maybe I'm completely wrong, I don't follow this manga as closely as I used to.

yea, it looks like that to me too. i don't think it has anything to do w/ Kyuubi though.. Kishi probably didn't feel like making a completely new design so he derived Sasuke's maniac mode from Naruto's.

anyways, i kind of like this chapter. it's quick-paced, to the point, with a bit of action. : )

maybe Madara will tell Naruto about Sasuke being hunted down at the meeting and then Naruto'll go there and try to be the middle man, but both Raikage and Sasuke will ignore him.

I thought it was Kyuubi too but I guess it isn't.
KILL SASUKE!!! Ugh he better die soon because he's pissing me off! I wonder why Zetsu gave the info that Sasuke was there. Most likely an order from Madara. Madara is gonna end up twisting Naruto around his finger just like he did with Sasuke if not, then Naruto is surely going to jump in between Raikage's and Sasuke's fight.

For some reason I lol'd when gaara said Akatsuki was hardcore. It was something I didn't expect. And the strange looking thing behind sasuke looked suspicious. Sasuke did look pretty pissed, and slightly crazy at the end. I just hope that his battle with the kage, he doesn't become overpowered and finish him off like nothing. I applaud kishi for making the chapter quick paced though.

Didn't it though? I'm wondering if Kishimoto just drew that as a lame personification of Sasuke's rage, or if something will actually come of it, like it's some kind of deus ex machina "out" for Sasuke's character--Sasuke was never really as evil as we all thought! All along he's been controlled by Madara! Naruto break Sasuke's curse and save him!!!11--or something. It'd be stupid if that was the case, but I wouldn't put it past Kishimoto--we've seen his track record for preferring quick solutions to complex problems.

Anyway people, prepare yourselves: Sasuke's "battle" with the Raikage is going to last a chapter, if that, before Aloe Vera teleports them all away, forcing us to settle in for some Naruto/Madara flashbacks afterward. That's all that's going to come of these chapters. (Besides the fact that Sasuke can now, apparently, use a light saber. 😛 )

It looks to me that the purpose of luring Sasuke to the Kages meeting was just so he could draw the ninja world's attention and become its #1 most wanted criminal, thereby diverting their attention away from the rest of Akatsuki for a bit. (There's no other explanation for Zetsu's obvious betrayal.) So if it's the case that Sasuke is important in the short term as a red herring and important in the long term as part of Madara's plan, Akatsuki isn't going to let him stick around the Kages meeting for much longer. Which means the epic Naruto/Sasuke showdown? Still a long way off. (We have flashbacks to get through first!) Argh!

Yay, major fights are to come~ Hope Kishi doesn't disappoint.

• I wouldn't be surprised if Sasuke completely overpowered the Raikage... He's such a cool character too. Especially on the last page of this chapter. The fight will probably be interrupted though.

• On the other hand, I think that the Raikage will prove to be quite the match. I suspect him to be stronger than Killer Bee. So, Sasuke's going to push himself, that's for sure. Though there's also the possibility that the Raikage will die to show that Sasuke's gone beyond revenge. That he has become a mass murderer. Remember, Sasuke still has this "new move" he wants to try.

• I loved the twist of Madara suddenly showing up. He is going to tell them about Sasuke and Naruto is going to go blah blah blah That's not the Sasuke I know. Blah blah blah. Maybe he'll mention the truth about Itachi as well. I just wished Naruto was a teensy weensy bit less obsessed about Sasuke. I'm actually glad we're going to the Sasuke fighting instead of listening to Naruto's speeches. 🤣

• The possibility that Sasuke is being controlled or obsessed is increasing. His revenge seems to really consume him.

• It's official. The samurai are like the ANBU, they just exist to die.

• That giant dark monster auro will definitely play a role in the future. And since when does Sasuke kill people? Guess he finally went crazy.

So, to sum this chapter up: Sasuke is God, and is easily overpowering the new "scary" people who were introduced, like they were nothing. Naruto is going to be lectured at, and lectured from again, Kakashi is going to be beat down again, and Sasuke is .hack his way past another super power.

Meh. Also, Danzo seemed surprised about Sasuke, maybe his shadow clone isn't sharing the normal secrets with him.
