I wanted to try to clean a page of raw manga. I have to say that it looks okay for a newbie.
Any tips?

Looks good, What did you use to clean it up?

You posted this in the wrong section... "Recruitment" is for scanlation groups or people offering services to help those groups.

You should really post this in the Scanlating section of the MangaHelpers forum as that is the probably the most ideal place for critiques and help.

Looks pretty good, but you over leveled a little and some of the shadows are missing. Also, try not to blur out the tones. When you see blurred tones in scanlation, it's typically because of poorly printed magazine scans (or rarely poorly scanned tankubon). It might just be the old scanlator in me talking but there's nothing more beautiful than the original tones from the tankubon prints. The hallmark of a seasoned pro cleaner is perfectly preserved tones and seamless redraws.
I see you erased some of the dots on the page, but while stray dots often make their way on to the scans, I think some of the ones you erased were supposed to be there.
I'd have to see a bigger resolution to give you a more detailed critique.
Definitely look up some tutorials for cleaning manga, that's how I learned.
Overall, you did pretty well for first time. Keep it up and do lots of cleaning! XD
