1 Year Anniversary
Well, we missed it by about a week or two, but the site's birthday has just recently passed. Happy Birthday B-U Manga! You're 1! The site officially opened on July 20th 2004, so we're quite late.....

Since then we've had 8 million page views and 2 million rss feed hits. A special thanks to the entire community for your continued support of our cause! We hope to continue our growth in the future.

Private Messenger
I wrote a small addition to the site today, the private messenger, which you can access by clicking on "My Inbox" on the side menu. It is *very* beta... and I will be periodically fixing it over the next couple days. At the moment, you can only PM staff, (or people on the about us page), so that's a downside, but at least it gives the staff a better means of communication with the users, as previously there was no way to respond to change requests. A new message indicator will be displayed to the right of the logout link if you happen to have new messages. The system works kinda like a combined private messenger/support ticket system, so I hope it's not too hard to figure out.

New Poll
Here are the results to the last poll. A pretty generic question, yes I know. The next poll question is something about which I've always wondered. Let us know how you feel! Your thoughts are very instrumental in deciding future site plans and expansions.

Question: What do you think of the new authors section?
I like it! - votes: 591 (65.3%)
It's okay... - votes: 260 (28.7%)
I don't like it. - votes: 54 (6%)
There were 905 total votes.
The poll ended: July 25th 2005

Another Release confirmed by Tokyopop is a manga called Psy-Comm written by Jason Henderson and Tony Salvaggio (Creators of 'Sword of Dracula').

"In the not-too-distant future, sovereign nations have been replaced by corporate city-states. War is entertainment and the stars are psychic commandos, known as "Psy-Comms." Trained from an early age, these gifted soldiers have honed their abilities to lethal perfection. In the corp-state of Electromedia, a young man named Mark Leit is destined to become the greatest Psy-Comm of all time. But a tragedy from his past, and a desire for redemption, will cause Mark to abandon everything for which his life has stood. In the eyes of his partner and best friend, Mark’s decision will be the ultimate act of betrayal. "

Psy-Comm will be available at bookstores and online online everywhere on 8th November 2005
