New Poll - Skipping to the End
Another poll suggestion from residentgrigo. For a completed series, would you skip to the ending (and hopefully go back and read the middle)? Maybe to get rid of some suspense that's killing you? Or at least evaluate that the ending is any good?

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)

Previous Poll Results:
Question: Are spin-off series worth it?
Manga need to be standalone tales - votes: 1230 (19.5%)
Maybe just one spin-off - votes: 3792 (60%)
Lots of spin-offs is fine! - votes: 1295 (20.5%)
There were 6317 total votes.
The poll ended: February 6th 2016

Too much of a good thing is a bad thing...

New Poll - Spin-Off Series
This week's poll is from our member residentgrigo. What's your opinions on spin-off series? In case you don't know what those are, imagine a series coming to an end. You know that side character that's kinda interesting? Let's make a new series with just him and his new adventures.

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)

Previous Poll Results:
Question: What's your preferred treatment of 2 page spreads in scanlations that don't align well?
Keep them together but leave a gap in the middle - votes: 1887 (28.6%)
Keep them together and redraw the gap in the middle - votes: 1949 (29.5%)
Keep them together and put them side by side even if they don't line up - votes: 566 (8.6%)
Keep each page as a separate image - votes: 995 (15.1%)
No preference - votes: 1207 (18.3%)
There were 6604 total votes.
The poll ended: January 30th 2016

I'm amazed this was such a close vote. Before this poll, I really thought people would always prefer having the gap redrawn, but it appears lots of people also prefer preserving the gap.

New Poll - Two Page Spreads in Scanlations
This week's scanlation-related poll is from Nekomikoto. This is quite an interesting question, as I feel like fewer groups nowadays spend the time to redraw the missing stuff in the middle. In case you don't know 2 page spreads are, it's where the drawing spans over 2 pages in the original raw manga. Because of how the pages are printed, there's almost always a gap in the middle of the 2 pages where you have missing content, even if you de-bind a volume. So when you view a scanlation, what's your preference in how editors manage these spreads? (It usually doesn't affect officially released web-versions of manga since they have access to the original images from the publisher instead of being forced to scan a raw)

New Poll - Harem Roles
This week's fun poll was suggested by our member Thailin. Just pretend you're in a harem series. Who would you be? And before anyone asks, there's no "Other" option, so too bad. Choose something that's actually on the list.

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)

New Poll - Other Manga Activities
This week's poll by mattfabb would actually work best if you could select multiple choices, but that's not possible with our current website, so deal with it. Just choose the option that most applies.

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)

Previous Poll Results:
Question: You find a reportedly good completed series with both a manga and anime adaptation. All other things being equal, which do you choose?

Some people didn't realize what "all other things being equal" means. Sigh...

New Poll - Another Anime vs. Manga
Happy New Year!

This week's post comes from our member VawX. Let's assume you find a good completed series that has both an anime adaptation and a manga adaptation. With all other things being equal (such as quality, plot, etc), which media would you consume? I left out choices between which one was the original adaptation or which got farther in the plot, so this is just between the merits of still images vs. moving images.

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)

Question: What's your favorite villainous laugh?
Ohohohoho - votes: 939 (7.6%)
Fufufufu - votes: 1507 (12.2%)
Hahaha - votes: 191 (1.5%)
Heheh - votes: 154 (1.2%)
Ahahaha - votes: 206 (1.7%)
Muahahaha - votes: 972 (7.9%)
Mwahahaha - votes: 923 (7.5%)
Kekekeke - votes: 707 (5.7%)
Hyuk hyuk hyuk - votes: 187 (1.5%)
Woah oh oh - votes: 38 (0.3%)
A true villain instills fear with a mere smirk - votes: 6247 (50.7%)
Other - votes: 261 (2.1%)
There were 12332 total votes.
The poll ended: January 1st 2016

I guess the smirk option is a bit unfair... I'm wondering what would've won if I took out that choice. Although "Fufufufu" did win of the other choices!
