Looking back on it, I look at this manga as something that really shouldn't get a 9. The supernatural aspect seems shoehorned in as a reason to get the wallflower protagonist to interact with the main romantic interest- yet once you get past that, it reads like a masterclass in characterization. The plot isn't too revolutionary, but the logic of the story is consistent, character motivation is consistent, and twists in the story are well-telegraphed without being blunt in the same way that so many other stories fall pitfall to. With that in mind, I can give this manga a shameless 9.

This sweet, gentle, very romantic yuri manga is CRing out to a bunch of het hentai. It's completely arguable whether either Moritani or Murakami are more perverted than average girls of their age - I'd say way less, really. That whole idea is brought in as one way Murakami puts Moritani through the ringer. Really, it's a coming-of-age manga for a girl who has to prove herself worthy of her love.

I think this manga had a great start, a really nice sense of momentum and I was super on board to keep reading it. Then the story kind of cools down. Quickly things move to the melodrama level and soon our characters are having annoying little misunderstandings seemingly every chapter. I still think this is a good series but I really hope things start to pick up.

The supernatural element really bring something new and refreshing to the old "popular girl crush" plot.
I didn't expect to like it, but so far it's quite light-hearted and sweet. I can't wait to see how it develops.
