It follows the typical "don't think about it too hard" script of the "pretty" kind of fantasy yaoi. Never mind the fact that Natsume and Chizu know nothing about each other except their roles (which is ironic, considering how Kagari pities Natsume for that), yet decide that they're "fated to be together" and even
have a child together (which, btw, Chizu doesn't even know about or consent to!)
before Chizu goes "I want to know more about you, Natsume".
I can't say much about Chizu, because he doesn't have a personality outside of "being Uzume no Mikoto" i.e. useful to Natsume, who is only slightly more developed; Kazushi and Kagari are one-note. Then, instead of developing existing ones, the second volume introduces a new plot and new characters, and shifts the focus on some that were secondary until then. The result is that all of them end up shallow. There was potential to do more with the setting, but the mangaka defaulted to "fated love" and people chasing each other for power, instead, which is arguably the more boring route.
The art is shoujo. No way around it. The ukes look like baby-faced pretty girls, and the semes look like pretty boys. Not something I like to see in yaoi, personally.
All in all, this manga is forgettable. I think I've reread it twice so far, years apart, and always forget everything except for how bad the art is and how nothing interesting actually happens. Wouldn't recommend.
