Sakuya, a high-schooler, went to a place called Romantic Villa Hakuou to look for Shinonome to fulfill his grandfather’s final wish. These stories are as basic as they can get when it comes to the theme of romance in the brothel and there's nothing special about their execution either. Everything's just very generic and predictable, and any attempt at romance was severely lacklustre and uninspired. Even the art is not my cup of tea at all.
I have to agree with MightyMaeve on the thin storyline. This one had so much potential. It startet off great, but in the end the read wasn't more than normal. I wonder if there will be a sequel with the number two oiran Asagi. I think that would be very promising. Anyway, I would still recommend to read it, because it was quite entertaining and the art was just stunning.
The two beautiful oirans (prostitutes who are also talented, smooth entertainers) of this tankobon, the young newbie and the older experienced one, both have interesting stories with hints of compelling back stories and future directions, but neither are never really fleshed out.
The art is stunningly detailed and emotive. The delivery is simple to follow but not simple-minded.
I just wish that the tale ran a little deeper.

nothing much to say except for this fact that it wasn't that bad after all. the story lacks in dramatic aspects and the style of drawing is kind of naive but still it has some fresh soul and interesting things in it for readers to keep following the plot line.
Am not too sure about the historical part since it looks more like a non time period to me but based on the clothing, perhaps. I liked the story very much and i can tell that sensei's art has improved quite a bit since i last looked at dynamite daddy, which i was really glad to see the intimate scenes have improved a lot more as well. I cannot wait to see the next story based on Asagi.
