And finally everyone has managed to find happiness with their significant other by the end (well there's still Jou but.. lol). I have to say that out of all three couples in this series, this one is definitely my favourite, especially when the characters are so mature and there's no meaningless bickering or nonsensical fighting between them altogether. They both help the other grow, and in the process become better versions of themselves too. I'm very much into this sort of character development.
So relatable

I first looked into reading this because of the artist and the shounen-ai genre. At first I thought it would be a light read, I didn't even bother reading a summary of it and jumped right into reading, however I was in tears during some moments. The emotions in this story were incredibly realistic (I myself found myself to be exactly like akinobu) I even thought to myself, "Wow these are my feelings perfectly laid out." Now i gave this a 9 because it was enjoyable, relatable to me, and i loved the characters. But, i did feel like they could have added a few more things in to make it feel "complete."
AKINOBU.

AKINOBU. My favorite character among them. I like how Sugano-sensei created his character. A person who learned to keep his desires inside for brothers and put them first but at the same time feels kinda envy of them. Though he kept telling them his okay, somehow, his yearning for something. Like he doesn't want to trouble them but at the same time he feels he's left behind. To be honest, my heart broke while reading the last 50 pages when Jyou ran into Akinobu in front of their honest. When Jyou told him that it as if he (Jyou) felt like he (Aki) trapped him into a tiny small place. I seriously cried at that scene and remember what Aki was thinking just before he ran into him. I really love his character was built. A lonely character, feeling kinda lost but later on, gradually pulling himself together with the help of his love interest as well as the other characters.
This is my favorite manga in Mainichi Seiten series.

I've only started reading manga about two months ago, and this is the first time I cried. Don't misunderstand me - it's not a tearjerker. I'm just really emotional. hehe ^^;;
I read volume 9 first because, from what I read in the reviews of the other volumes, the first two volumes were really long and mostly dialogue without much going on - and besides, I wasn't even sure I wanted to read this series anyways. After reading volume 9 (which I really enjoyed), I decided to read volumes 3-4.
I finished volume 10 this morning, and I loved it! I wasn't sobbing or anything, but my chest felt tight and I did cry. I really sympathized with Akinobu. It's amazing how words on a page can grab your emotions. I love that feeling.
I don't really think it's absolutely necessary to read this series in order. I mean, I never, ever read or watch a series out of order, and I wasn't even sure if I was going to like this series - but after reading Kodomo wa Tomaranai and Hanaya no Nikai de, I felt curious about how this series began.
I may just end up reading volumes 1-2 last since, from what I've gathered, this series doesn't seem connected with each other in the way that you'll miss something important if you don't read them in order. I don't know, that's just my opinion.

I love this manga super-much, and this section especially. This story tells of the sweet relationship of bespectacled Akinobu, who has, if I may say so, PTSD from growing up in such a weird family, and the family florist who is a former biker-gang member. That alone shows how great the author is. (But although I think all the characters are wonderful, right down to the family dog, there's rather TOO much Yuuta and Mayu-tan in the whole thing. So I'm especially fond of this chapter where we get to hear about someone else.) I've re-read the entire thing enough times now that I think it's all good. But this bit especially.
Vol 8 Isoganaide
Vol 9-10 Hanaya no Nikai de (These two chapters go together, intrinsically.) If you can't read them online you can download them.
(I think we have pretty much all grown up in a weird family, so you will probably be able to relate to some part of this manga, whatever your background. That's what makes it neat. )

<3.
Okay, maybe that's a bit too.....simple, but yeah; it still has all the goodness of Akira Sugano (seriously, I think I like him best as far as yaoi novelist goes), and the arts of Ninomiya Etsumi.
The characteristic is great; still consistent, and yet....it showed what goes inside every single Obinata without compromising and/or changing their outer actions.
All I can loathe is ...how it's only 10 volumes while the novel still continues (the novel is volume 5 out of 11). At the risk of repeating myself countless times; WHY, Ninomiya Etsumi, WHY?

I kinda can relate my self to Akinobu--being the 'fast-matured' sibling who tend to push away my feelings for family and in the end, feeling helpless and cried alone. i cried since the first pages of the book--call me a crybaby-- and i get the whole idea straight away.
but as the story progressed (especially once it reached book 10) i felt lost. something was not really connected here, but i am glad they ended up together.
That';s no spoiler; come on, from the cover you know who gonna ended up with who.
