I love Chinmi

I suggest to read Tekken Chinmi and Shin Tekken Chinmi before reading this series. These three series show the age progression and journey of the main character, Chinmi, from a child slowly becoming a teenager (Tekken Chinmi), fighting together with his friends (Shin Tekken Chinmi), becoming a young adult where he is entrusted with responsibility by having to take care of his disciples (Tekken Chinmi Legends). Personally, I find the first one, Tekken Chinmi, to be the most interesting of all of his series. Nevertheless, Chinmi's journey never get boring. I love the story smile

It's a great adventure martial-arts manga with good story telling that does not need or have any echiness. Shame it will never be fully scanlated but worth reading the translated arcs.

I hesitated at first since I do judge a manga by its cover but this one will get you hook the first time. Thank you to the people who made this possible

Tekken Chinmi has come a long way. I remember myself loving the original series to death as a child; the clean yet effective action scenes have always been the highlight of this series. The fight scenes are always realistic, and the mangaka is always conscious not to break his own set rules (Within the Chinmi universe).

The clean art is a double edged sword though - the series doesn't stand up to repeated viewings (As you don't miss much the first time through and you're more likely to remember everything), and that alone has kept it from being in my list of top 20s.

But still, I highly recommend it to anyone who has the slightest interest in martial arts or combat.

It's definitely a refreshing breather from all the drama/love stories that I've been reading lately.
