This is one of those titles with a cast of characters that's difficult to pick a favorite from. They're all insanely cute, each with their own very different, exaggerated, but uniqie, personality. The charaters are very cliché, and the chapters very episodic, but I'd hardly call it shallow. There's a decent amount of depth to each of the characters, and they're all so lovable that even if that wasn't the case, I probably wouldn't care.
This title does have something of a reputation for being shallow, loli fanservice, but unless you're just totally unwilling to get past the occasional not-so-obvious pantsu, it's really an unjustified criticism. Just take it easy; sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride - it's totally cute, totally hilarious, and totally fun.

It's one of those series, where the anime is better.
The manga is indeed, all about cuteness...
But from some reason, even though I like cute, I find this manga to be quite boring...
I'd recommend you giving it a try. The art is really cute, and some would probably like it.
Just not me I guess. (did like the anime)
I just couldn't get past the secondish volume...
