Jubunnoichi no Hanayome

Description

Ryuunosuke is the heir to his father’s wealthy business that, due to a trauma, become a shut in. One day, his father took him back in order to prepare him to inherit the business. Ryuunosuke finds out that he is required to date 10 women candidates whom one of them will become his wife. Every woman has their own personal reason to be a candidate but one person will be dismissed after every week. Who will be the chosen one at the end?

I don't know how things work in Japan but this sh*t would never work in the West like the U.S. lol. Most people would be like "pay your own damn debt" and then just continue with their life. The only thing that this manga has going for itself is the artwork, it's good but not really worth the convoluted storyline. Like when one of the final 2 girls ends up being a "gold digger" then you know that the MC has absolutely no taste in women or any intuition at all lol. Not to mention what kind of father picks these girls for potential wife candidates for his only son and heir. This definitely has "hentai writer" written all over it and maybe they should have stuck with that type of story that's basically inconsequential. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that plot isn't their strong point. Anyways it all boils down to being just some softcore porn with terrible plot. I suggest reading something else.

Undone by Unnecessary Drama

I don't have a problem with the premise. The execution, on the other hand, leaves a metric ton to be desired.

Might as well start with the ending: it's dumb. The final two being Ayane and Konomi is dumb, there's one last bit of unnecessary drama, and then the MC has to debase himself to get Ayane back. Not that I don't understand why he picked Ayane; she bears at worst a passing resemblance to his deceased mother, at least in terms of looks. But man, when you got Reika, Chizuru, and Rin among your ten choices...I dunno.

The main problem is execution though. Had the mangaka actually stuck to the rules set in the beginning, and not gone with the stupid NTR/joker subplot that took out two of the three hotter choices, the manga would've been much better off. There was basically no reason to dump Reika or Chizuru other than having the ending predetermined and being stubborn about it.

I also have zero sympathy for Natsuki. Yes, her situation sucks, but the whole thing smacks of emotional manipulation by the mangaka to somehow spare her from being reviled by the entire audience.

I don't recommend this manga. There is too much unnecessary drama and inane "gotcha" moments that distract from the generally good art.

His dad fucks one (possibly 2) of the girls who weren't serious about the relationship with the MC in the first place, so i wouldn't call it NTR imo

Art & Ecchi stuff (), all the rest piece shit (Storyline, etc..) and im not big fan of MC NTR'ed so, i know there's alot of whre but thats not the way you put it in. This not really friendly r18 d̶o̶u̶j̶i̶n̶ manga.

I think this is a piece of shit. However, after I tried to read up a few more chapters by force, I thought this wasn't too bad. It gets better with "a little" character development.

good ecchi, hot garbage plot

I've read 4 volumes and 38 chapters so far so maybe my opinion might change in the future.

Read this if you want some decent fap material but don't expect anything good from the plot, it's rushed with little space for character development with many of the female characters disappearing despite having very little time to shine and do anything beside trying to rape the MC which is disappointing.
A lot of troublesome situations also get resolved by very convenient coincidences or "villains" just being really dumb.
The manga otherwise maintains some mystery with the perpetually pondering question of "who's MC's highschool friend among the candidates" and whether the MC will cling to trying find her or if he'll try growing a relationship with another regardless although his highschool friend hasn't been mentioned for a while where I'm at.
There's also entertaining suspense and tension in wondering what kind of sexual stuff the MC will end up doing with which girl but hey that's almost any ecchi manga ever.

Update: I've finished the manga and my feelings haven't changed.
