Description
This is a moving yet gory, no holds barred, story about the intertwining fates of human-shapeshifting kitsune, humans, love (well, this IS hentai...). A plot twist or two, a slaughter or several, unrequited feelings manifold; add in the beautiful art with its Old Japan-authentic feel, and here's your *cough* side dish for an evening...

The plot:

The demon hunter Izuna is looking to exterminate demons that have been kidnapping girls and in particular he is looking for one girl who resembles Kiri-hime, his dead lover who was kidnapped and then murdered. A kitsune girl is tagging along with him because it seems that she has fell for the human. While the plot progress we learn what actually happened to Kiri-hime

Some of the sex scenes are removed. Sadly, its hentai and only some could see this and maybe appreciate a work of art like this.

Art and the colour OMG THE COLOUR <3 is SUPERB!
I love kitsunes and this one the foxes are adorable! ><

I loved how it is set during the old times of Japan, which so rarely drawn in manga nowadays..
Their beautiful traditional wear took me back to the past and the backgrounds took my breath away..
*sigh

I hope to find mangas like these without the hentai.. its something to die for.
Recommended for those who appreciate the beauty of art and not so much in the sex scenes wink

it is really beautiful and you can live on that alone. i am in constant wonder of the kimono's design. the characters are okay, and i feel really sad at the end of the story. it is quite confusing until the end, but this is hentai anyway.

Well. As one can see from other comments, this is hentai. So, if you don't like that then this isn't for you. At the same time, the art was beautiful and the entire thing is in colour. I would've liked the story if the author hadn't included the hentai scenes but overall, it was pretty interesting

If you need a plot in your hentai, look no further. In a span of 110 pages, OKAMA will blow you away by this oneshot. The comments below mine pretty much sum it all but as a word of caution - this oneshot is no holds barred i.e it has all the genre of hentai you can think off (ok, bukkake and guro ain't here) - from the normal stuff to the perverse yuri and shota. There are even some elements of bestiality involved (7x). But despite all this, Hanafuda remains on the best work of hentai that I have read in a long time.

I must point out that I was sucked into reading this by the cover art rather than a dirty mind. Despite being a hentai title, Hanafuda actually has *gasp* a storyline going. I found the story to be quite engaging, though I also have a feeling that OKAMA may have borrowed heavily from traditional Japanese folktales (given the presence of kitsune and oni), and gave it a more mature spin… The romance component was quite satisfying and clever, despite being bittersweet. As with any short series and especially hentai, there are a number of plot holes and loose ends not tied up. A number of things threw me off, but overall I must admit that the storyline was quite good, and stretched well beyond the usual mindless sex-driven hentai plots.

The art is simply beautiful and the backgrounds are very detailed. I think that the use of multiple panes gave the series a lovely cinematic quality, and helped with the pacing because so much more space was available for OKAMA to use. Unusually, the volume is entirely in colour, which I think it really adds to the atmosphere and adds to the great detail OKAMA has put into the art.

And now (finally! X3) onto the sex scenes… Personally, I think that the sex could’ve been much easily been delivered as implicit smut instead of hentai. The explicitness of the scenes didn’t add to the story and was a bit of a put off; though I’m sure some people would argue that there wasn’t enough sex! It was weird seeing all the girls’ half-conscious during sex. The snake poison thing just induced a ‘wtf!?’ reaction from me because it was ridiculous. Though the way that the oni were leading Yone-Nobu around made me laugh…

Overall, I liked Hanafuda, it has a fairly decent storyline and was well paced with gorgeous art. Yes, the hentai can be off putting, so reader (especially kiddies) beware!

It's kinda weid hentai I've ever read. And it's the first hentai I feel sad for the characters. And the color is awesome !

This is really wierd. It has an actual story ( even if it doesn't make that much sense ), beautifull art ( all colored ), set in a historic backround. Really well drawn, and it is full of more or less random porn. It doensn't fit. It even has 2 real love plots. Strangest combination i've seen in a long time.

Well I was interested because of the kitsune (fairy-fox) in the cover

Classic-style art. the chapter is a bit small so I cant comment on the story or anything. But the man look abit like Abe no Seimei.

Worth waiting for the next chapter.
