well... by aoi_tenshi on April 19th, 2009, 7:04am

Spoiler (highlight to view)
The art was really good considering it was made in 1999, but it left me unsatified because its an unfinished series, other than that, I liked the story, the plot is well developed but I feel that the characters weren't and I think Akito's death was really rushed, she should have been in at least a few more chapters, and go into depth with the relationships each character has with one another, so for now I'm giving this a 7.

ehh by Rafaelaboy80 on January 17th, 2009, 2:00pm

This series was good too bad it went unfinished, it sort of leaves things unanswered but we'll never know how things really end since this manga got stopped back in 1999. Anyways good and bloody series since the characters felt unique to me. Hate reading series that never get properly finished since it always leaves a unsatisfied feeling...

Absolutely amazing by squares on October 10th, 2008, 10:32pm

Probably one of the best series I have ever read.
It was absolutely amazing. I was thinking about it most of the day after I finished reading it. It was frustrating that the series was NOT finished, but in a way it's easy to understand how the author left it (there didn't seem to be much of a logical ending in store, but that may just be my opinion...). God, I loved this series. Not much in the way of comedy, but it left it's mark, and it was really rather dark. Don't know if I get the point of it all, and the undertones were kinda unrelated-seeming.
And hey- did anyone wonder about their school in the first book? For that matter, why weren't they in school until the later part of the series?

No good by tazman0208 on March 30th, 2008, 3:24am

It's really not in my nature to trash manga but this one reallyy has no readiming factors. The art was good at times and other times sloppy. The plotline goes nowhere and the story ends abruplty and is unfinished. The reader has a hard time to emphasize with the characters and even the moral of the story is lost. IMO I felt that I wasted my time reading this...

disappointing by zefieyuki on December 9th, 2007, 12:09pm

I have the same feeling as everyone else. It was a very disappointing ending. But I loved the story and the art. I wish there was more to this story.
There wasn't much sex..not graphic stuff anyways. I think..

A good manga, but ultimately fails to deliver by Kurapica on November 5th, 2007, 3:33pm

I have to agree with the comments posted.

For years, I've been hoping that someone would finish scanlating this manga, but now I almost wish they never did. Before the last three chapters I had the impression that the manga was drawing to an epic close in which all the loose ends were to be tied up neatly. The actual conclusion however turned out to be all but that.

What this manga does deliver? Some great artwork, a plot that blends together elements of hedonism, postmodernism, aestheticization of violence (without gloryfing it) coupled with inkblack dialogue and interesting pro- and antagonists.
Unfortunately, these factors are ruined by the lack of an appropriate ending. Ultimately,
Spoiler (highlight to view)
The fate of the main protagonists/antagonists' were left for the reader to guess. It doesn't even conclude with an open ending in which the reader is offered their own interpretation, it's simply incomplete. All of it feels really strange, seeing as there were a lot of issues that the mangaka could have addressed in order to come to a satisfying conclusion. I.e Llyod' reaction to the Jammy Angels' assault, Haru's past, Ryo's suddenly going berserk on Tetsu without regard for his comrades, how the gang proceed after Ryo's vicious assault, Yukito x Ryoki etc.)
In the end the reader is left feeling utterly unfulfilled, which is sad seeing that the characters development and story were layered skillfully so far.

WTF?! by theoserenity on November 1st, 2007, 2:01am

It was good at first, it makes me think that this manga has good potential and will actually develop a plot that will make one remember. But I was wrong. The ending was very disappointing...or was it really the ending...I was like "What? That's it?! That's IT??"
