…and I love it for it. Finally, a yaoi that doesn’t try to shoehorn in a crappy “love story” between rapist and victim. There isn’t really any story or character at all, actually, but smut-wise, this was a lot of fun for unabashed sadists like me. I DO wish that in the end, the main character had murdered his rapist rather than going all gooey or whatever for him. Physical reactions are distinct from mental ones, and I kind of hate how the author seems to be suggesting that the body’s autonomous response to sexual abuse or stimulation is at all indicative of the individual’s actual wants and desires.

Buuuuut if you’re just here for the hardcore smut, I say give it a go.

Install... harsh and cruel

This is only about Install, which is really disturbing and fascinating ‘cos of the non-consensual content and the amount of hinted layers.

Poor kid, though. When his perfect world crashed, he couldn't rely on his friends, his girlfriend, his family or even himself. As a result, he was forced to re-define his existence and his world based on these new set of experiences.

Due to his neurological confusion of pain and pleasure(hint: last few pages), he is forced to and will face many more consequences even though he might’ve not been responsible for them.

Harsh? Yeah. Realistic? You bet. That’s what rape is like. There're many rape victims who've no escape from their reality, not even death: is this what "life" means for and to them? To surrender to the irrationality even when it means killing a part of yourself?

It's stories like this which makes me more appreciative of Chi-Ran's storytelling, when she can tell a story, that is. It's around the level of Overflow(Hentai) 'cos it does not pretend rape is some sort of passing event, that it has few lasting effects on the victims.

Edit again: For those who're confused by the ending? It's simple.

His body(instinct) won over his willpower(his mind).

WOW! That was a harsh way to learn about appreciating a simple, standard every-day stereotypical boys' life of video gaming, best friend and a sweet girlfriend. H-a-r-s-h! Interesting take this boy had on the abrupt turn to his life.

Very interesting plot and story telling style and art work: all uniquely and distinctly Chi-Ran. I like her works, but they are . . .disturbing sometimes. Kind of reminds me of the character anime art work of Bronze and Zetsuai by Minam Ozaki.

If you like bondage and dark stories with cruel, unrelenting characters, give 'er a go!

this is seriously messed up stuff!. OK I expect this of chi ran but, man this was creepy and totally did not make sense at some times! BUT and a very big BUT, these are the types of stories that stick in your mind!. And only for that reason am I rating higher than I originally would have!
