Description
"When I talk about ‘warped manga from a warped mind’, I always think of this incoherent story.
The Human Clock is a lot simpler to summarize than to understand. The hero is Yubi Chizuo again; he’s a student like before, but this time round he’s also a dropout. He stays in his house, which is a family shop selling watches and clocks. He gazes and gazes at them, and little by little, turns into one himself. That is the entire story. It reminds me of Franz Kafka’s Metamorphosis."
Also contains the story The Cat's Mourning Suit (Chapter 6 - unscanlated)

This story was...unique. As unique as a story can get. Although the art is horrible for a normal manga, it does suit the storyline for this manga, though I find it rather confusing due to the art. The storyline too, is...weird. Though it's a good quick read. XD
Very interesting and unique...

Having read this a while ago, I think it deserved a compliment of some sort: I really liked this manga. It was bizarre, weird and yet was very interesting and unique.

What to say about such a unique little story... well for one, it had some excellent art (I know many of you are going to disagree), but I found it perfectly apt for such a surreal story. The main character, Yubi, is an interesting character, shunned by society and completely ungrateful.
Without doubt, there are many parallels between this and Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis. I'd even suggest reading that before diving into this piece.
Recommended only to readers of underground comics and Gekiga, and those with a mindset capable of appreciating experimental art styles.
