Description
From DokiDoki:
An adorable allegory about peace and tolerance. According to the author ~ in the future our world has been wiped out more or less by our own stupidity and intolerance: in the world that follows, all the inhabitants are cats who live together peacefully in spite of nationality and race.
Its really slow paced, doesn't have a plot, and is sort of meaningless, but if you ignore all of that and take it at face value its really quite cute and refreshing. Its like taking a breath of cool night air after you've been in a scorching desert for weeks.
This manga is the sweetest thing I've ever read, and one of my all-time favourites. It's a lovely, slow-paced tale; nothing brilliant, nothing new, but so touching that it makes you tear up at the sheer cuteness of it. The characters are irresistibly lovable - sweet, straightforward and honest. They live at peace with the world.
The protagonist is a little primary-school kitten; the manga depicts simple everyday scenes, painting a portrait of his life in a little fishing-village and his interactions with school teachers, friends, family members and fellow villagers.
The art is simple - yet attractive, and the cats are ADORABLE! No angst, no melodrama, no romance, no heated-up battles or arguments...it's like the mangaka is trying to depict how a world without humans would be the most glorious utopia we could imagine; and I must say she / he is absolutely right!
The story is more suitable for kids than teenagers or adults- but I loved every moment of it. Since it's short, I don't think anyone will regret taking the time to read this. It's good for soothing you down if you've been reading the emotionally-charged content that the large majority of manga has to offer.
