Although as a tribute to classical Class S works, most of the relationships in Maria-sama remain platonic "romantic friendship" or deliberately left ambiguous, you should definitely read this work if you are a fan of shoujo ai or yuri, since it's not only one of the best works in the shoujo ai genre, but also that work that has created most of the modern yuri tropes.

If you're a fan of Marimite, then this is a must read series. Being able to read the series, as it was originally is not only great, but fun as well, as a lot of the humor that made me enjoy it so much, comes through.
Normally this is a manga site, however this is one instance, where I'm glad they're bending the rules a bit and allowing this series to get noticed. Definitely looking forward to more!
