The ending spoils the whole serie

The serie has been good with the development of Shin and Sakura’s feelings and characters. It’s completely understandable that Sakura can’t bear Shin’s jealousy and possessiveness and escape but please they only need to make up. Why Yuu needs to be involved? 🙁 Not to mention I kind of hate her personality always bringing troubles (wth with releasing lab mice and taking home all stray cats and dogs!) and her persistence, she seems to be not so bad of a match for Shin, she made him soften and they got along well living together. They went kinda smooth between them... until Sakura’s return. The last chapter is totally crap although it’s the ending that I have wanted 🙁

It was good at the start

it was good at the start and middle of the story but it went downhill for me when the unnecessary drama happened at the end...

I was quite excited at reading this at first cause the heroine was feisty and not a push over..
She doesn't let all the rivals bully her and she's a bit of a level headed girl...
I was thinking while reading this manga that "finally a shoujo female lead that i would like had come" but it was shattered by the unreasonable breakup and miscommunication by the two couple.

The girl is not the only one at fault, the male lead is too controlling...
The male lead is to simple minded to thinking that he was cheated by the girl when he is equally guilty. That is not a fair treatment...
I don't like the fact that they all keep blaming the female lead, sure she had run away but she had a reason.

I also don't like the resolution of their relationship. I simple provocation from the male rival that made him change his mind, is just pathetic...

I admit, i did enjoy reading this manga but only up the point before the girl decided to study abroad...

I have been waiting YEARS for this manga to be finished scanlating. Seriously, I started this way in high school and I am in my mid twenties now. JEEZ! I love the relationship that develops between Shin x Sakura. They are fun together and despite all their issues, they make it work. However, the last few volumes were just awful. Like, stab me with a fork awful. They were long and boring and jeez! They deviated from the main plot a lot!
Like, why did Yuu come into the picture at all? To fix Shin's trust in women? Yuu was freaking annoying and thought she deserved everything in the world since she's always getting mad at Shin despite her own selfishness. And seriously, why didn't Sakura fix Shin's trust in women? Why would you want the main love interest to have zero influence on the male lead? And don't get me started on that ending. Why the hell did it end up being Sakura's fault? Shin freaking tried to strangle her!!!! Yet, Sakura apologized for cheating when Shin slept around? Agh, so much anger about the ending. 7 volumes were great. The last 3 should just be burned.

A manga literally about the NTR guy from a shoujo manga

In the beginning his actual fetish is to steal people's girlfriends and then break up as soon as she breaks up with her boyfriend.

In one of the earlier chapters he pretends to attempt to rape (shoujo rape) his best friend's girlfriend so that he can get them to reconcile; basically the cliche "playboy tries to seduce the heroine with good intentions" from any other shoujo. Complete with the "I don't think he's a bad person" and the comedic "he's kinda cool" punchline at the end of the chapter.

Fucking amazing. Props to the author for fleshing out an unconventional archetype.

Edit: I finished it and wow what a shitty last couple dozen pages. Literally throws away the main character's entire psychology because "lol love". Not to mention forgiving a rapist because he's so cordial about it.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Yuu-chan was doomed from the start but a better girl BY FAR and should've ended up with the guy. Her entire personality, interests, actions, and quirks all complement the various issues the protagonist deals with mentally. Meanwhile the female lead's route would likely end with a murder-suicide in real life. It's a completely toxic relationship for the male lead.

I loved this manga until the study abroad arc happened. Honestly, @Pacific.Mint couldn't have put it any better. The arcs with Yuu were mishandled, boring, and frustrating. The mangaka's decision to completely disrupt the love story between Hanada and Sakura for TWO VOLUMES as Shin acts like an *** and is unfair to Sakura for his exhausting "emotional development" (his maturation and dawning self-awareness was important and necessary, sure, but god it could have been handled so much better -- and he still treated Sakura like dirt when she got back....)... and then tries to resolve the entire disaster in, really, a poorly handled conclusion? Yikes.

I wish the story had ended when the two of them got together and were happy in high school. It really /should/ have ended there. I'm going to pretend it did, for my own sake.

(The story pre-downfall was funny, charming, and heart-warming. Like, don't get me wrong, it's definitely old school #Problematic at times, but still really enjoyable and one of my faves. Skip the study abroad arc and have a good time if the summary/tropes appeal to you -- you'll probably love it. Just save yourself the trouble of that headache.)

Let me get this out of the way, I don't hate this series but oh god do I wish things had gone more differently. The whole 'rich playboy finally tamed by strong feisty girl' story was all super peachy, just until sakura decides to study abroad. Why couldn't the studying abroad debacle be handled the same as Gokinjo Monogatari? She literally spent the whole story up to that point to try and win hanada over and WINS; she knew he didn't trust women right off the bat, so why be surprised that he would be freakishly possessive?? She thought that going away for 2 years would solve the trust issues when in reality she was just running away from her problems! So, ok sakura dipped.. what now? Hanada moves on and goes back to his old ways! Alright then he meets the amazing Yuu and they hit it off for 2 volumes, heck she even TEACHES him how to trust and.. *exhales* aw geez i'm so mad.. OKAY even though yuu wasn't his type, I couldn't help but ship them ;-; (even tho tbh ANY tsundere would have done the trick for hanada..) and hugh and maria or whatever that lady who falls for yuu's name is,they were unnecessary if hanada and sakura were going to end up together anyway, plus hanada's mom just vanishes.. there were A LOT of cop-outs in this manga~!

gosh! none of the new mangas are like the old school, i mean i stopped reading shoujo since a year ago and then i decide to try this one (i was keeping it in sight but i knew it was a long way to go i decide to read it, i know it's paused right now but it's ok i can tell who will end with whom), the whole relationship was amazing (she never made him change his ways, he changed because he wanted it. she was not a cry baby, i so want to read it again!)

READ IT!

the arc post study abroad was handled better. I felt like 1 volume (volume 10) wasn't enough for Sakura and Shin to reconcile. Plus, volumes 8 + 9 with Yuu were so boring. What made Kirai so entertaining was Sakura x Shin. I could not fathom why the mangaka decided to spend 2 (!!) volumes developing his relationship with Yuu. I understand that he needs to understand trust vs distrust so that he can reconcile with Sakura but that did not need 2 volumes with another woman.

Great Story

Hilarious at some point. The tone of the story is a mixture of Hana yori Dango and Kare Kano. It is sweet, and drama. Through out the story, the characters will go through some changes and mature. There is a great deal of misunderstanding between Sakura and Hanada. But they come around at the end, because they truly love each other. Which was extremely sweet.
I read it twice, once online and the next time I bought the series from the book store.

I agree that the story went downhill after

Sakura went to study abroad (~vol 8-9). No wonder the scanlation is frozen.
After all there was only one thing, that made this manga so exciting - Sakura + Hanada mix ^-^; But nevertheless it deserves it's 9/10 points. This manga is a nice gem along with Hana Yori Dango, Mars, Kare Kano, Fruits Basket, etc. (though they all differ ^^) ... Well, maybe it's not that great, but still very nice =)
