From Wings of Yuri:
A high school story about the a love triangle between 2 girls and a boy.
Fuuka likes Riri. Riri likes Itta. Itta likes Fuuka.
This is not a typical love triangle, though!
1 Volume (Complete)

Yeah...I mean the two lesbians practically use him as a beard with little regard for his own feelings. You can tell this was written by a woman...
Fuuka likes Riri. Riri likes Itta. Itta likes Fuuka.
Well turns out, Riri doesn't like Itta. She likes Fuuka. She tried to drive Fuuka away because she feared for the future and how society would view their same sex relationship. Once Itta finds out, he's the one who drives Fuuka to work up the courage to protect Riri and that gives Riri enough courage to be with Fuuka despite the societal issues. Itta in the end becomes their protector and supporter.
You'd never see a guy be like this with a male rival (although it happens all the time in shoujo tbh). I think he's still holding out for hope of a threesome.
If you're the kind of person who thinks that a "real" GL manga should be full of unnaturally moe students in an all-girls school fooling around all day - including in public - without the slightest fear of social ostracism, if you're allergic to seeing boys in your GL, if the very thought that one of the pair (and not the femme, either) might be bisexual makes you break out in hives, if you always expect a clear butch/femme dynamic, then Girl x Girl x Boy isn't for you.
This is one of those rare same-sex romances that have likeable members of the opposite sex in the main cast, where the art is on the realistic side instead of looking like something straight out of porn, where people think of society's and their family's disgust first and foremost, and where the characters use and hurt each other because of legitimate fears. If that sounds good to you, give it a go.
However, a single volume is nowhere near enough to develop this kind of premise, so the characterisation's slightly stilted and the plot is rushed. Still, I enjoyed what little was there and appreciate the author for trying to do something more down-to-earth instead of taking the easy way out by catering to the masses with the typical fanservice-ridden brain-dead nonsense that dominates the GL (and BL) world of today.
That was nice I guess. It honestly didn't have an impressive start but mangaka-san was able to wrap it up rather nicely. Though only Itta was well rounded, Fuuka was predictable while Riri was kind of dull.
The story made up for the lack of character development though. So yeah, nice.
P.S. And Itta's character is again the most rounded out of the three. Heck, I'd like to see a sequel where Itta would find his girlfriend Given that these three ended up being friends after everything, that'd really be beyond interesting.
Unexpectedly that was kind of plot i was searching for... Especially as it turned out in the end.
Two girls and a guy trying to get along together. I wouldn't have given highest mark otherwise, but the plot of this manga just what I really wanted to read from the start.
The best part was that they actually succeeded. And that girls both turned out to be lesbians but it didn't bother the guy and he remained with them. Truly lovely story.
Story felt a bit rushed, but it's unique and theres just not enough of this stuff on the Shoujo-Ai side, plenty of yaoi like this though, the story still felt great to me theres no filler in this it's straight plot and it comes at you too fast to fully enjoy unfortunately, but it can't be helped.
I hope more manga will come out like that that are better appreciated and thus get better support and a proper story and not just be porn.
The story was quite short assuming that the main forcus of the story would be more refine .... quite a lot of useless scene....Beside from that it hit the point of problems such as society but the romance between the character needed more life it was sloppy it was like forcing a dog to eat wall nut one character was wayyy underdeveloped and became a supporting character.
I started reading GirlxGirlxBoy with very low expectations. I love yuri, but don't have much tolerance for bland school life romance. After reading the entire volume, I can say that my expectations were about met.
The art is pretty bad. Very sketchy with under detailed backgrounds. The character designs are bland and unappealing.
I didn't like any of the characters. Fuuka's annoying and weak. Riri is somewhat insensitive. Itta doesn't behave in a logical fashion and has a stupid hairstyle.
The plot was as weak as everything else. It relied heavily on the old romantic triangle gimmick, except with a circular triangle. There's one plot twist, that takes you from absolutely despising one of the leads to only mildly hating them. The ending isn't horrible, but it doesn't redeem the rest either.
If you're just in it for the yuri like I was, you'll be disappointed on that front too. Aside from a couple of cute moments between the girls, there isn't much yuri content to speak of.
It's only a single volume, so if you're absolutely starved for yuri, feel free to check it out. It's not that great but it's not like you'll be wasting too much of your time reading it.
