Didn't catch my interest...
Rating: 5.0 / 10.0
by Tatania

While this manga wasnít bad it wasnít all that great either. It didnít catch my interest. There were some great things going for this manga, interest behind the powers and how they worked, mystery behind where Hasumiís mom is and some held back information, I felt the manga wasnít as good as it could have been, and wile it didnít disappoint me the manga didnít stand out to me and was only ok.

Plot- The plot was all right, it was actually quite interesting and at first we knew very little about the powers adding some intrigue into the plot as we gradually learned more about the powers. However at the very end one issue about the powers wasnít resolved or even explained.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
How did Hasumi get rid of her powers? Why couldnít she come right back to Yuuro? How come she now has new powers? Nothing was explained!
The plot about Hasumi trying to find her mom seemed less and less important as the story went on and seemed only to be there to give a reason as to why Hasumi is in this town and why she hangs out with Yuuro and his twin (this seemed especially true when we got the rushed explanation as to what happened to Hasumiís mother).

Characters- I sort of liked the characters, they were nice enough characters and werenít too bad, but the leads bothered me a bit. There was always something about their character that just didnít match up. Hasumi is about justice and helping others when they are in trouble (or at least she was in the beginning) so I didnít quite understand why she used underhanded methods when dealing with her dad (lying to him, sneaking out) it didnít make sense with her earlier character. Yuuro was quite rude to Hasumi whenever they disagreed or something else happened that Yuuro didnít like, he would either yell at her to go away or he himself would ignore her, many of these times I didnít get his reasoning behind his anger or why he avoided her and it seem kind of strange, and as I said before, rude. So as long as Yuuro wasnít mad/angry/upset with Hasumi he was a fine character.

Art- The art was fine, not really my preference in art but it was still really nice, cutesy and with a lot of roundness in the drawings, it really fit the story line.

One Shot- There was a One Shot at the end and like the rest of the story was only ok and I didnít really understand the girls reasoningís behind her decisions and actions.

Other- This story had a few clichés, but that wasnít what bothered me, what bothered me is the predictability of the plot, there were many times I was expecting what came next, and after just one chapter I was already beginning to suspect (and in the end was right) about what happened to Hasumiís mom. I canít say I enjoyed this manga all that much, but I didnít dislike it either. I can understand why many people enjoy this story a lot but for me it just didnít hold that satisfaction. So if youíre interested in the story do read it, I really canít recommend this story or not since I donít have a definite say on this manga.

5/10 Ė Was all right

I loved this manga! I've always loved stories that have people with the ability to fly (it's my dream lol). The plot definitely could have been much better if the author made a few more volumes to add more development and depth.

This manga is a fun, quick, and light read. If you're a Sakai Mayu fan, you should definitely give this one a shot. You won't regret it! smile

The thing I liked about the series is that its short, great for a quick read. It had its cute moments, and I quite liked the ending - although I would've liked for it to have a bit more depth.
It was pretty good as one of the "earlier mangas" by Sakai Mayu.
The choice of title was also very good and creative.
Have time to kill? You should try reading this wink

A quick review:
Art: Most of the time the characters are very well depicted. Although I did not like sometimes the underling below the eyes, made the characters look weird.

Story: Something as close to zero, besides the romance.

Characters: They are well depicted and you can get to like the main characters.

The ending: I was speechless, take option 1 instead of 3? I mean, did she love the main character or not?

This is a really good story. Very well thought out, and touching. Though the ending is a little weird I suppose.
It has very good artwork too. Sakai sure can draw.

Not a bad story! Likable characters, pretty unique plot, and the ending was, as people said, beautiful/touching. (It didn't make me cry, though, and I'm someone who get teary easily.) The style of narrative is epic shoujo, like in Fruits Basket. It's short so it doesn't get too deep, of course.
