Description
Volume 1: Nozomi has a childhood friend who is 7 years older than him, Mitsuru. Mitsuru not only teaches him how to study and play, but also teaches him how to kiss and masturbate! Nozomi wants to lose his virginity by having sex with a girl, but the only thing he can think of is doing it with Mitsuru. On top of that, he was harassed by an idol named Yuuma, while he himself uncontrollably harasses Jin who is younger than him. How will this continuously complicated love end?
Volume 2: “We’re at an age when sexual curiosity is high! My name is Nozomi and I’ve always wanted to date the one I love. Not just going out for an evening stroll, but to do the things I love with him.” Although this is in Nozomi’s mind, he still can’t bring himself to say it. When will my dreams come true!? My heart is overflowed with hope, and I can’t live without a man... whose fault is that!?

I think this is the worst yaoi I´ve ever read. Even if it does have a plot it´s really going nowhere. But the reason I´m giving it a 1/10 is because of the characters in this one. They make you want to punch someone. Seriously I got really angry after every chapter they´re just so brainless and dont know what they really want, playing around not knowing what real love should be like and so on. No common sense in this whatsoever. The art is decent but it really doesnt make anything better. Just skip this one it´s really not worth your time.
I really liked this story, i really thought it will be bad when i starte it, because a usually hate love traiangle it's sad :and things with most of it is sex ( even thought there was'nt any sex right ? bu)t this one was really good !! i really loved jin's charactere and pure love for that stupid nozomi who had eyes only for mitsuru
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I'm really glad he ended to be with jin and not with that mitsuru !! it would have been stupit otherwise :D
I don't mind love polygons but in this manga everyone is doing it with everyone else, even though they all have that someone special they really like. The sex is so gratuitous it's not even hot anymore just cheap. Quantity not quality in this case I'm afraid. The characters and the plot turns are totally unbelievable and random and always sex-driven. Gah! The only character I remotely liked was Jin because his behavior was the most plausible and he was cute. The art wasn't bad either but not good enough to redeem this series...
There's a lot about this story that I really don't understand.. Mitsuru likes Nozomi but he has sex with Yuuma..... Mitsuru really is cruel. I hope that after it finishes I'll understand, I guess. So, I'll just be waiting for more volumes then.
Just visited sensei website and found out that this series is not finished yet. On sensei site you can see photos that reveals that this series has at least 5 VOLUMES! Good, because if it finished at vol 2 that would be too confused and unsatisfying for us. Hope next volumes will bring some plot and logic into that series
Lots of drama, practically no morals xD Starting with the characters... apart from Jin they're all a little twisted when it comes to their feelings. Jin is the pure one and therefore my favourite character The story itself is... its ok i guess? It starts pretty good but sort of loses momentum a little but it still has a satisfactory ending as such, though i do with the situation with Yuuma had a bit more of a certain outcome. I really cant help but feel sorry for Yuuma. This is a decent read but isnt amazing, but i think it deserves better rating averages than people have given it. In my opinion it warrants a good rounded 7.
So I'm not going to be as harsh as the other reviews I've seen so far. I thought the story was decent, in the beginning at least. I like that its not a typical yaoi that is either complete lovey-dovey fluff or rape=love scenario. Although the story isn't the best and falls apart at the end, it kept my interest and wasn't boring or completely predictable. I would just recommend it because the sex is hot.
When I read the first volume I kinda liked it. Dunno I like the difficult relationships and the love triangles (in this case is a square lol) but... uhmm... the uke is so dumb, and everybody touches him and he seems ok with that, he likes Mitsuru but then he starts to like Jim who liked Mitsuru too at first and I was like: WTH didn't you love the other one?, I mean, it's like he does have an easy heart or something. And now I find out that that one was the end?! well, if u can call THAT an end. That was an incomplete story. The manga was in my computer for I was waiting for its ending, a nice one, but I got THAT ending, which I hated, not even hated I didn't even understand it or something like it. I'm just gonna delete it right now, I didn't like it at all. The final pairing sucks big time. Just as voraciouszest said, if u like sex scenes and the incomprehensible plot/characters/ending then go for it and enjoy it.
Typical Kanzaki material here - a fouresome of guys varying in age from their teens to mid/late twenties, all good-looking and all with an unusually large predisposition toward mind-games and all things sexual.
The story is mostly told from Nozomi's point of view. He's a high school student who used to practice kissing and masturbation with his seven-years-older neighbor, Mitsuru. The story begins with Nozomi's perplexing situation - he wants to lose his virginity but he can't get hard with girls. Like a truly airheaded uke, he seeks an answer from Mitsuru, whom he hasn't seen in two years time. When he does finally meet Mitsuru, Nozomi also comes into contact with the one-year-younger Jin and the older and popular idol, Yuuma. It somehow manages to come as a shock to Nozomi, when in Mitsuru's room with all three other men, he's told that he must be homosexual. Duh...
Despite the severely underdeveloped characters and the fact that the story had little to no plot in the first place, the weirdest thing about Love x Eros is that it had the most anti-climatic, abrupt end to Nozomi's story. Though Kanzaki Takashi is by no means a complex mangaka, even this ending is a little undercooked compared to her usual standard. It seems as though she intended to continue the series but perhaps it was dropped by the publishers. Though I can't see much point to continuing the series, it would've been nice to see Nozomi's story arc complete.
All in all, Love x Eros isn't bad but it isn't good. It just...exists? Unless you're a fan of the mangaka and/or a fan of sex, there's little else going for this series. The art is pretty mundane, the story is pretty nonexistent, the characters are pretty bland...Actually, I don't even know if I like it or not...
