They're all oneshots, but they're complete and have deep, complex stories. I enjoy all works by this author.

I agree with MightyMaeve below that this is definitely not for the faint of heart. There's lots of explicit blood and gore, not to mention it is very DARK and psychologically twisted.

I think that there are some yaoi that tries to be psychological but fails; however, this isn't one of them. All of the stories are wonderfully executed and you really get to taste the complicated depth of the human psych. There is no straight-forward happy ending or midway fluff to soften the disturbing level of each story.

I can't admire enough the brilliance of these plots; they are all so original and meaningful, bringing out the dark sides of human nature that is rare in yaoi. It is a perfect mixture of angst, horror, psychology, and romance.

I'd really recommend this to anyone who wants something different and memorable.

Psychological and Lush Aestheticism; Dark Fairy Tales
by MightyMaeve

This collection is not for the faint of heart, nor is it for those who like happy, cheerful tales.

It most certainly will appeal to those who like to investigate the darker psyche of desires and motivations. It is gory at times, and always absolutely masterfully spun. Motoni-sensei's tales are not strictly yaoi; she uses women in her fantastical tales as well.

The illustrations are crafted with detail and precision; each one is full of beautiful emotion and at times leans toward euro-gore. The dialogue and the illustrations combine to something quite sublime.

The only one shot that doesn't quite match the essence of the rest of the dark tales is 'Bye, Bye, Mizuhara.' It does have a yearning theme to it, and the characters are both rough and real men, but their story certainly doesn't fall in the 'horror' category.

An amazing collection in my estimation.
