Love it.

There are so many great things about this manga, but I especially love the characters. Especially the main character; she's just so hilarious. And not in a stupid-shoujo-lead way, but in a... this girl is so realistic and sarcastic that I want to be her best friend. But yeah. It's great.

Edit: So, the ending chapters are kind of a let down, but Kizuna's still an awesome heroine. If nothing else, this story gets 8/10 from me because of her (and Yuki, why not more Yuki?).

theres a lot of unanswered questions especially toward the end. however, this is mangazition of novel, so it is understandable for more in-depth story one need to read the books. still, it is great as it is with beautiful airy art and engaging characters. plus point for the translation, they did a great job making them sound so upbeat.

Wow, this manga just blew me away... I normally don't review mangas unless it was uber horrible or brilliant and non-cliched..... This manga just totally exceeded my expectations and I had no idea it was going to turn out like this. It may seem like a simple and normal manga at first, but you just keep turning the pages and become so immersed into it... It has that magic that seduces you and you don't even realise you're up to the last chapter! I finished it in one go. And that's SUPER rare. I always fall asleep but it's currently 3:52am and I have managed to stay up just to finish this beautiful manga. Totally recommended. Don't get put off by the prostitution tag because there is none lol.

Also, I don't know what the other people are saying about the heroine... She isn't typical at all. Her character development was amazing. Her willpower and strength was so admirable (not physically, I'm talking about emotionally etc.) I actually really like her character and that is so rare because I hate almost every shoujo heroine that exists LOL

This really is a great manga! Gorgeous art and plot! I love the plot. I love how I am pretty certain about how it is going to end, but, at the same time, I HAVE NO IDEA. The writer has an idea in their head and I cannot follow. It's nice sometimes to be taken for a drive and have no clue what road the driver's taking. It's all about the journey!

First thing i would say is: I don't like shoujo and especially the female leads but this manga was not what i had expected....

The plot was okay but the excution was done really well. The art was also really good and so were the characters. I dont usually like the female leads in shoujo because most of them are usually dense but i loved the female lead in this manga because they showed her very strong and smart.

Everything was good; it had a lot of potential....however, the ending kind of sucked...

It just didn't end well but still, it was a great manga

I would recommend this if you don't have a thing for shoujo

Really different, but...

I haven't really read anything like this; the main character is very uniquely characterized, and so is the setting and plot. The characters are all special in their own way; they have individual traits and pasts that make them who they are. Still, with that being said, I didn't really enjoy this. The art was lovely and varied, and here was a nice bit of humor along with the drama and romance... but I just didn't like it!

I totally understand why other people love this, since it's definitely a high quality work, but I guess I didn't like Kizuna all that much. She was a great character, but I don't think she fits with Asai well, since she'll never really understand him. Plus, I feel bad for Yuki, who's awesome, and suits Kizuna more. Speaking of her, Kizuna's character is strong and unique, but also young, inexperienced, and sort of selfish. She's very realistic, overall... just not my cup of tea. She's still young, so it's understandable, but I find her to be inconsiderate and mean sometimes. I also find Asai to be like that, as well- he doesn't consider Kizuna's feelings, and even at the end, he

Asks her to wait for him even though he says he might never love only her? C'mon, man. That's a little callous.

Basically, this might be up your alley, it just wasn't up mine- the characterization is great, the plot is incredibly unique for a romance shoujo, and there's a lot of psychological stuff that's done pretty well. The art is also good, and suits the story well. With that being said, I didn't like this- even if it's a "different" romance story, it's still a romance story... and I don't think it's a very good one. The two main characters don't connect very well, and I don't know if they could ever be truly happy together. Also, I happen to like Yuki much more than I like Asai, so that makes me like the main couple even less. Still, that's personal opinion- I can't deny this is a well-thought out and well-executed manga. Just not for me.

It's enjoyable & reccomanded for the shoujo fans out there. The art, is also good. The plot is detailed. And the lead female isn't all pushy and cowardly. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next chapter!

Ah well, it's that kind of manga you read when u see that the next chapter is out and u feel like "yeah, well, only around 30 pages, so i'll read it" but u'd never read it all in 1 go, and u'd be skipping lots of pages...
10 for art... but I guess this genre just isn't my thing smile

The Sleepy Residents of Birdcage Manor

It gives you a josei-ish feeling even being a shoujo, due the fact that the guys are all young adults while only the girl is a teenager (who doesn't go to school). Overall, it's a nice and refreshing love triangle. A well developed story with some mysteries to unveil. As a shoujo fan, i must say this one has became one of my favorites.

This manga surprised me! It was different and it wasn't cliche or shallow at all which for me was a breath of fresh air. Two things i really loved about this manga is the character development and the pace of it all. I really loved how each character overcame a huge obstacle that allowed them to break out of their shells and comfort zone. They grew stronger together and learned from each other. I have no idea why people don't like the main character because she's quite strong! She's never been a whiny, quiet, submissive character at all! Anyway.. the pacing of the manga was amazing. Nothing was rushed or too slow, it all had great timing and the pace of it all (hope this makes sense) was perfect. The art was beautiful too but I really loved how the mangaka was able to show us each character's world and how different they all were. The world of a painter who's time has stopped and the world of a teenager who's realized how much time has passed, struggling to find herself. Both characters breaking out of their worlds, joining reality together. It's beautiful, it's a slice of life and very much worth the read.
