The plot is nice

I totally chuckled when I read the author's atogaki in volume 1 where she stated that she had wanted to write a much more plot-heavy manga but was told by the editor to reduce the non-romantic stuff and make it more BL-friendly; even while I was still reading it's already really obvious to me that she had to restrain herself from writing more about things she was actually interested in. I myself didn't care about the romance either and was much more invested in the story, but alas what can you do when the average BL reader only reads it for the smut :/ A shame because I believe the mangaka is capable of an even more thrilling and engaging historical piece if those constraints didn't exist :/

I keep putting it off this series back then.
I didn't like the cover and I'm not really a fan of historical yaoi genre merely because I've not once encounter a good BL series with this genre.
But this proves me wrong big time.
The art is soooo good and so is the plot.
I can't count the times were it made my heart skip a beat.
I wish someone would tell me one day that I'm beautiful like an eternally blooming flower.
I totally recommend this and it is definitely a must read.

This yaoi manga hooked me not for the sex (which is my usual reason for giving high scores), but for the story that had a real plot you'd want to follow. The uke isn't your typical smut uke which is a cry baby pretty face, he'll charm you with his perseverance and strength to survive a harsh world, the seme also had his circumstances which gave equal footing to the uke's predicament.

Also, the art is pretty smile and the small character the prince played in this manga gave quite an impression, I hope he gets a spin-off.

Overall, it was too short for me even though it spanned 10 chapters because the story was well developed along with the character build-up the mangaka could've had another 10 chapters juggling with new situations to come up with just to entertain the fans (but that's just me, I just really want more of the seme and uke's time together go on and on).

Perfect for all types of yaoi fans out there smile

I was surprised when I saw this series already completed and don't know which group did this. So I started reading out of curiosity as well driven by the positive reviews. Didn't regret it and I was such in awe of the wonderful story I just read.

Tasuna was sold by his stepfather to a local rich man. The stepfather said that he was to wear the fancy garments and become his hunting guide. However, he soon discovered it was lie when he was sold for the rich man's desire. He ran away and following his father's words that he heard when he was young, he headed toward Naraya mountain in search for Azeri, the master goldsmith who used to practice the craft in the Capital with his late father. When Tasuna collapsed from exhaustion, he was rescued by Azeri who had long time injured his arm. Seeing that Azeri as a craftsman who worked in the same field as his late father, as well as wanting to follow his father's footsteps; Tasuna begged Azeri to become his apprentice. This is the story of his journey to becoming a goldsmith and his love story.

Hope my detail summary makes people want to read this story as well.

This is indeed a plot-driven story and I grantee you will enjoy it. Only 2 volumes yet I felt like it's the greatest 2 volumes I ever read in my life. The art is really beautiful and I love how the hair is drawn.

The H-stuff comes later in the story, but I don't mind since I love how the plot is build up first to develop the foundation of the story. But even if it wasn't a BL manga, the story can hold by itself and even non-yaoi fans can read it for the story.

It is sad that this is the only fully completed translated series from this artist and I wish to read more from Takahisa-sensei. I also do wish this series become license in USA so I can own a hardcopy of this.

I wasn't expecting much when i started reading this story, but it's so good! It seems sensei had actually written the plot before remembering that it was a BL. Which i actually think gave the story more depth than most in the genre. There are not too many sex scenes, just enough to make you get all hot and bothered.
I found the art to be very beautiful, and hope that a group will pick up the rest of sensei's work.

This is one of the best yaoi mangas I've ever read in awhile. It has an amazing storyline, well at least for me and the artwork in this manga was pretty nice to the eyes.
smile
I recommend it to anyone who likes reading yaoi with a nice historical mix with it.
