Oh my gosh, the art is GORGEOUS. And the story has such a mythical and fantastical quality... really, one gets the feeling of being transported to a different world from long long ago. As the reviewer below said, this manga is wonderfully enchanting. Though I was only able to read the first chapter I know this manga deserves a 10. I really hope some scanlators decide to pick this one up again!

I have the Italian hardcopies of this, and I can't recommend this manga higly enough, from the non-stereotypical art and characters's personalities to the marvellous nods to actual medieval and even sumerian art the author peppered her story throughout : details and decorations that are straight from medieval manuscripts/frescoes and the Bayeux tapestry included, and no photoshopped pic shortcuts either, but everything is hand-drawn with love and care and skills.
Truly wonderful, enchanting and deep at the same time.
Both this title and this mangaka should deserve much more love and fame abroad than they got so far.
If you're a fan of mature (but not super-gory or fanservice-y) fantasy , romance, and/or of the source fantasy book , do check this title out.
And if you can understand Italian, the edition they made for this is worth every penny: one of the prettiest volumes I have the pleasure to read and posses, with iridescent cover jacket, colour pages and quality paper.
I'll repeat: a hidden gem.
