Good thing it's axed ...

A stupid story good drawn. <-- For the TL;DR folks here.

First: It's got axed, so the "ending" is mediocre at best.

Second: This is not(!) a historical work at all. Yes, the author knows the correct spelling of the word Europe and know that 1099 the Crusaders conquered Jerusalem, but that's all. As far I know the Crusaders never had 90.000 fighter at all in their combined armies, let alone letting such a force march some 10.000-s of kilometre from Jerusalem to China. (I would like to see the faces of the Maharajas in India when the 90000 Crusaders got steam-rolling through India - "Sooorry! Just coming through."😉 And the Freemason, with their iconic sign, are first officially founded (the first Lodge) 1717 in England and not(!) before 1099. And many more points. It's a complete fiction based in around the year 1101.

Third: It's a Superhero/Supervillain comic. With flying Superhuman and the like. Nothing bad in it self, but Superhero Comics are not historical. And sadly there are only Chines Superheros/Supervillains, the Europeans are weak to useless weak. Well, no surprise here, a Chinese wrote this.

Fourth: This work have some really stupid scenes. The more the "story" unfolds the stupider it gets. I don't expect realism in Manga, but at least some consistency in drawing and storytelling. If you draw a plain than don't draw few panels later a deep gorge in the same spot. If you show and say that someone can't be killed under special conditions than don't kill him few pages later on, even if the condition still applies. OK, the Chinese are much better fighter than Europeans, I get it ... but that the Chines people can teleport in big numbers between Europe and China (the Europeans don't know it of course) AND know the deepest secrets of the Vatican (without any explanation and have some operating manuals ready for this secrets) is ... is something "little" over-the-top ... IMHO LoL. Fun fact: For long travels Chines are riding goats ... don't ask LoL.

I was deceived by the "historical" tag and the first 1-2 chapters were ... OK-ish. It's also not bad drawn. But latter on ... I wanted to see how stupid it gets .. plenty.
Don't waste time on this one.

It was an interesting manga with all the fights and plots, and it was nicely drawn.
But the closer it gets to the end the more confusing it gets, up to the point where, at the last page, you end up wondering why you even bothered to read it all.

Indiana Jones-ish

Well it's fairly good and plenty interesting, especially with the main character being as cool as he is (his power is awesome and pretty interesting), and for some reason it feels a lot like an oriental Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail in the time of the Crusades. Especially where they take care to go through the systematic skin, muscle, bone peeling on that one guy who got too near the "sacred object", yuck. It definitely isn't what I expected to read when I first started. But then I didn't know it was going to be a fantasy with very heavy Christian (some of it the freaky, twisted kind) tones. So in some ways it became better and more interesting than the beginning and in other ways more gruesome, freaky, and a little confusing. It does have a little humor and romance, and the art is pretty good, though the action sequences aren't always clear. I also enjoy the way they show the main character's super dodging speed and action. The only thing that makes me mad is that they didn't explain anything! It's like Double Arts all over again, the way it feels at the end like everything they just went through, however exciting it was, was just a prequel to the real story. Like they hinted at answers to all your questions then just created more, and most of the past is still a mystery. Like the story just got started. ....except that in ended.

Buzzkill ending

I enjoyed the majority of this series but the ending simply killed it all for me. The moment that it can get soooo much better and interesting, they ended it. In addition, there are a lot of questions that are left unanswered and loose threads that never get tied up. You never learn how the protagonists are connected, who the girl with the halo is, and why the female lead's brother is taken away. It left a bad taste in my mouth after reading the last chapter.
