Description
Long ago, couple suicides were common, but some left with unfinished business. Now some 'destined couples' have been reincarnated in the present day. Each has a reminder of the past: a butterfly-shaped birthmark on their thumbs. When the marks touch, they catch a glimpse of their shared past, though what they see doesn't always match.
Tsubame insists that he and Kanoko are fated to be together. By the time Kanoko finds out it's not true, it's too late: she's already fallen for him. The "butterfly" friends must reconcile their ties to the past with their present desire for fun and romance!

I liked this story [: by wtfcaroline on July 23rd, 2009, 1:42am

The artwork is great and the story is quite unique. It's not the usual, "I like you, let's go out," type of shoujo. The story has a plot, real characters, and something that makes you smile. It does get confusing but at the end it straightened out. I knew about this manga for awhile but since it was 6 volumes I wanted something shorter. But while I was reading this I was like, "No way! 4 volumes already?!" It made me want more! I wish there was a plot about Arata and Kiki getting together!

Not bad... by Gingeh on June 21st, 2009, 8:55pm

Tsubame seriously annoyed me. I mean, why was everyone after him?
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Like, four out of five of the 'Destined Couples' had him in it. I just found him annoying and whiny. ...And seriously, he should have been the girl in his past life, not Mike.
For that matter, Kanoko annoyed me too! At the beginning she was too angsty, and then at the end she was even worse - Tsubame this, Arata that, destiny, destiny, destiny, blah blah blah. In fact, the only characters I really, really liked were Arata (*fangirl squeal*), Kiki ("Boss!" xD), and...well, Mike's bunnies. xD.

But other then the characters and the ending main pairing, I really liked this manga. It dragged a little, but it was addicting at the same time - I couldn't put it down for, like, two days. It's definitely original, and if you like drama + historical genres...this is definitely for you.

Pretty good. by DiamondDust on January 9th, 2009, 3:54pm

I thought this was a pretty original manga.
Not like the "OMG RICH GUY POOR GIRL LOVE"
I did enjoy it a lot.
But i did notice that it DRAGGED on A LOT.
I suggest that you read this if you want to see a different type of love story.

Very convoluted and confusing... by Lord_Lucifiel on December 22nd, 2008, 4:01pm

Am I the only one who thought the mangaka was biting off more than she could chew? I found the plot, premise and characterisation, etc. very convoluted and confusing. Plus, the pacing and scenarios were very choppy and full of loop holes. Now, it'd have done a lot better had she fleshed out the entire thing over 10 to 20 volumes or if she'd trimmed down the entire cast by a quarter to half.

Really Bad by seraimes on October 21st, 2008, 10:32pm

I found it extremely annoying and boring. I hated the main characters. The only person I actually liked was the celeb guy. The beginning is interesting but it becomes so annoying towards the later half; especially the last vol.

"In the end, the world won't change. We will." by Disremembrance on September 26th, 2008, 5:15pm

Eeek! Geh.. The other Agimaki, Sukuroku's Agimaki, really got on my nerves.. bleh.
But Arata and Kiki were a good touch. Their antics are a good pick-me-up.
Well, it just matters that you read it, and enjoy it. But it's okay if you don't enjoy the end chapter. I didn't.

good by musicalmaria25 on July 23rd, 2008, 9:00pm

I liked this manga a lot, the story was really interesting. but dont be fooled by the summary, you can hardly say they were a gang of friends that were reincarnated, that sentence is a bit misleading, but you will get that if you read it.

addicting. by matt_is_the_best on June 19th, 2008, 6:14pm

i felt addicted to this series, at first i feel that it started off a bit.. slow.. but.. i was still... i just.. well actually.. the whole time i was sort of like "hurry hurry i want to know more! i NEEEED to know more! come on already tell em what happens next!" and was very impatient. but.. yeah.. it was good. i highly suggest it.

P.S. mike is the best!.. i loved him man.. he was so... awesome. i feel bad for hi though. he deserved his first love... just as much as anyone else did.. *sighs* oh well.. he still ended up pretty happy. =)

aw by recycledkarma on April 29th, 2008, 10:04pm

I finished this series with a literal shoujo high going. I just felt warm and fuzzy all over. I loved the two main characters as well, I felt they were much more unique and relatable then the average. Simply adorable, I recommend it highly.
