i like all the characters in the manga, especially black and white who complement each other perfectly. the yakuza and the police, and all the people of the decaying town, they show off the worst of treasure town that the boys deemed as theirs.

however, i cant say im a fan of the plot progression. i love all the senseless violence but toward the end it getting kinda trippy, and i wish for a more 'logical' story because to me kiddies beating up people is enough, no need to add other element.

the art is quite original, but original doesnt necessarily mean good. this manga has been in my list for so long cos i think the art is not pulling me in. but the art do complement the story and the characters nicely, so if you love reading alternative manga, this will be great for you.

ultimately, its a good manga if you want a difference, but it do feel trying too hard when it pile more and more violence on top of another. but if like that kind of thing, try this.

but that's just the surface ..with really unique interesting art style, great human characters, decaying but dreamlike environments, and so much life and craziness and darkness. I love this manga. The anime film was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, but doesn't do the story justice.

Tekkon Kinkreet is awesome! It's kind of crazy and trippy. The charachters are awesome. The movie is cool too, but the comic has more space to flesh out the charachters I think. The art is awesome. The story is hard to explain, but it wasn't at all confusing to read. At first I stayed away from this comic because my eyes aren't too good, and I thought the trippy art might be too hard for me to figure out, but when I did read it, I didn't have any problems knowing what was going on. This is a really awesome comic. Awesome art, awesome charachters, awesome story!
