Description
Yamada is a castaway on an island without any ships passing by and he is unable to recall why he is there. After finding his sports bag, he assumes he was on a school trip. With only seven days worth of food, he eventually decides to make a boat to leave the island. He thought he was alone on the island until finding a girl named Imaise Chika eating his food. They then decide to continue carving the boat together. It's a good read and more importantly likable characters..
It's a positive warm read. The characters have clear tropes while still being realistic and multi-dimensional. I think I came to really like each of the characters. There's meaningful history between them before the story starts. I think the pacing & the level of tension is quick and high enough to be enjoyable without being overwhelming. The story overall is also unpredictable enough that you'll want to find out what happens next and easy to follow enough that you'll be on the ride all the way.
The only thing a little irritating for me was, the whole kids vs adults theme/dialogue

A deeper investigation about the frustration Yamada has with people who are adults. It seems a bit idiotic that he hated on his adult self so much at the end, but at the same time, if the author really wanted to go into the dynamic of people self-hating their adult vs childhood self, there's a lot that could have been explored.
Apart from that it was great 🙂
It was an awesome manga. The story is so dramatic and the pacing is pretty quick with many cliffhangers. You feel the tension from the beginning to the end. It always makes you ask - how the hell is this gona end up. I really liked the personality of the MC.
The only thing I regret is the, well let's say not utterly opened, but just half-opened ending. Which makes me ask why all(may be not all of them but most of them) awesome mangas have opened endings. I can't ever get used to this.

First volume is nice on its own. The rest is kinda boring
That was a ride. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and its conclusion. There were some parts that were a bit slow, but it was a complete and fulfilling read.

I was really hoping for a "By His Bootstraps" ending where Yamada & Nori ended up in the year 2473 instead of 10 years later. They come out of the fog to see all 12 island and realize that they have to initiate the sequence that separates Island 2, thus bootstrapping the story. After releasing Island 2, they spend the rest of their time enjoying life on the other 11 islands
.Tbh no real complaints about this but it did feel a little bland at the end, wish we got a better epilogue or something at least could just be me though....
Main reason I dropped it was because of the idiotic actions of the female lead. She is in a stranded island with the MC, she can see well without her glasses. So, what does she does decide to do a few different times? She leaves off by herself, and encounters danger a couple of times, and the MC has to time jump to save her.
The story has potential. The plot keeps people on their toes because you just don't know what is going to happen. The comedy is okay but nothing spectacular. There are characters that are cliche but the plot makes you want to keep on reading. There is some ecchi in the manga but not too excessive.
The downside in this manga is that nothing major happens in the manga yet. The plot is kind of confusing when the characters talk about it but it is still a entertaining manga.
Overall it's a good story to read and it takes a while for each chapter to get scanlated but hey you can't complain when you are a leecher.

a week later, the 13th is published. well, i've been reading this since it was first scanlated. I deemed it good. and up till now, it still so good. but never as good as I read the 12th chapter. the punchline makes me smirk. read it yourself, but beware, the release cycle took so much time.
like all the other post said, this is a good read. sigh, cliff hanger is killing me. i was searching for raws and only chapt 6 popped out
