Enjoyable Read

A lot of this artist's manhwas are hit and miss, but I really like this one.
The main heroine, Jan Di, isn't annoying or unrealistic (but she does sport a rather weird hairstyle). While the personalities of the other characters weren't smoothed out, they were a lot better than some of the characters in other manhwas.

The plot isn't as interesting as Love in the Mask, but I rather have a storyline that makes more sense than a jumbled one. I often get a feeling almost like whiplash when I try to follow this artist's other works. The length of 47 chapters is also a lot more reasonable than the others.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
While it is true that Jan Di ends up not falling for the nice guy I feel it's made up by how eerie/obsessed he becomes later. I thought, "Oh well it's good she didn't try to get with him then."

I would recommend this!

Shockingly Good

What can I say? I am shocked. The story is entertaining and everything is not predictable from the first chapter. Most of the characters are likable. Even the people who did bad things did it for a reason that sane people could understand. It was all selfishly motivated but you could tell that they knew that what they were doing was bad but felt that the ends justified the means.
The main character was very lovable(maybe a bit too kind), the main love interests were also likable for most of the story. The romance was sweet and believable( as in you could understand why they were falling for each other). Plus the story didn't drag on with filler.

There are many flaws but if I picked the biggest one it'd be how the "heroine falls for the jerk" cliche needs to stop. Why not make him a nice person from the start? He doesn't have to be a saint but don't make somebody do something that no good person would do in the beginning then go "Opps he's actually a good guy" later. It's boring and predictable. The "nice guy was actually a psycho" cliche is also very boring.

All in all the story was very enjoyable, definitely something I'd re-read again.

the description was confusing for me...so if anyone's curious...

the quartet consists of the following:

main character: jandi (the "orphan" who was adopted by her uncle)
the "jerk-like" character: ryu jin (believe it or not, he has looks AND can beat up lots of people)
the guy who probably won't get the girl: (I can't remember his name...just that he's REALLY not going to get the girl)
the "best-friend" character: who won't get the jerk. She's a pretty lady, but the jerk doesn't like "weka" characters.

So, it's promising...

Well, it's not like your "the main girl is the princess" type of normal manga/manhwa where the main girl who is poor right now is the princess they're looking for. That's what I thought too but Han Yu Rang knew better. I won't spoil you on that.
The author did a good job of creating a suspenseful but at the same time funny plot. She had a good start and a good ending BUT the stuff in the middle is too long and is kind of draggy.
I still recommended it because the art is beautiful and the plot is good.
Another thing I like about this manhwa is because it features the parents abuse and negligence through the 2 main guys. The black hair main guy was abuse by his step-dad. The light hair guy was neglected.
Favorite quote from light hair guy: "In the end, I'm still like my father." or something like that. T_T
