I am disappointed with the lot who considered this as not worth anything. This has been, as the previous reviewer said, a refreshing concept. It had a good hook right at the beginning, unfortunately it has been compared to a preceding manga with the slightest similarity. I haven't read Majin Tantei but I have so much resentment towards it having killed a good story that I may never do so.
I would still recommend this for a read, I give it a ten even though it never grew out it's potential. I wish Haruichi-sensei, has better luck in the future while not bending his style to fit the mainstream audience too much.

Its definitely something refreshing to read. But its still in the early stages so you will just have to deal with the standard one story one chapter format but i really hope the author will create a big arc or at least one reoccurring villain soon.

Now that i have given it a chance to develop honestly to say it DISAPPOINTED me. It had such a great potential in the beginning for being something quite different. Its ratings in Jump was already plundering and it had one chance to revert by creating a single great villain to throw out some excitement, which clearly failed MISERABLY.
Overall it had ZERO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT and the whole story telling and flashy murder thing was refreshing in the beginning but i eventually got bored after 4 chapter. This might sound harsh but did everyone realized nearly every murder case happened in the school? Had this manga lasted over couple hundred chapters WOULDN'T THE WHOLE SCHOOL BE DEAD? Come on, even Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro had this logic. But the main problem came down to us, the audiences been unable to sympathize with any of the Yotsuya characters which ultimately made it FAIL while Neuro succeeded, plus it had humor and was at least not repetitive. If only had it received more TIME maybe it would be more interesting. Sadly as a SHONEN JUMP manga time isn't a luxury and make or break u have 1 volume to do it.
All i can say is GOOD LUCK under another publisher Mr Furudate Haruichi.
