When awkward schoolgirl Haru rescues a cat on her way home from school one day, the last thing she expects in return is to be honored by a feline royal family! Before she knows what's happening to her, Haru is drawn into a world inhabited entirely by talking cats--and recruited to be the next Cat Princess! Only the dapper cat Baron and his friends, a magical crow and a comical fat cat, along with a friend from Haru's past, can help her return home.
I watched this a while back, and the story was lovely. The characters are very much alive, the plot is very simple and not that dramatic nor heroic, but it's a sweet life lesson, and the end feels bittersweet and more 'mature'... in the sense that it's not a kiddie-film's dumb happy end, it's not actually all perfect, and the protagonist grows up a bit in the movie and learns a couple of things about life. So, great movie, directed at children, but good at any age. ^_^
one of the first manga i ever read, if not, the first. it was interesting. i can't remember much, because i'm losing my memory, but i do remember enjoying it a lot. and eventually i watched the movie. =)
