The first story was cute, though it ended rather abruptly. I normally am not a fan of the whole teacher-student thing, but this one didn't bother me for some reason.

The second story was cute, too, and I think maybe I preferred it.

I love Natsume Isaku and this is no exception: it's great!
There's two stories in this book: the first one is about the serious and sort-of delinquent high schooler Yamada who happens to have to live with his overly quirky, cheerful sensei Amano, who likes punching students if there's a need to. This is a fun story, especially because of the characters.
They are so different than your usual pairing, and they're hilarious!
The second story is about Haru, who moves into the college dorm and has to share a room with Touno, the school's most feared person. There's a ton of bad rumors about Touno going around: from him being an evil plotting genius to whoever pissing him off being thrown off the campus...
This story is also wonderful... I fell in love with the characters again, even if they are a little bit more serious than in the first story here. Touno is a great character; he's smart, silent and misunderstood but doesn't give a damn because everyone's a moron to him anyways. And at the same time he's lonely and shy, and it's a joy to see him react.
I loved this manga and all I can say is that I wished it was longer, and I totally wouldn't mind both stories being drawn out to several volumes or something.

The only thing about the scanlation was that some of the font was too small to read (and too blurry to zoom into) which was a pity.

OMG this series was so freakin' adorable @_@ I swear Natsume Isaku-sensei has a real talent in being able to effortlessly pull off such cute and hilarious chibis without even trying too obviously hard, and the results are divine. I've been following her for a while now, and I can tell you while her stories are almost never new or ground-breaking (here also), but with progression through time, she has successfully polished her skills in story-telling and illustrating. It really shows in this particular series (AND the sex has gotten less dull and much more yummy, which is a big bonus for me too xD I know Natsume Isaku-sensei isn't the type to draw smut and I doubt she will ever do so in the future, but there's always something in her mangas that could make up for the lack of sex without being annoyingly cliché and over-the-top lovey-dovey)

To be completely honest I was a bit surprised with this manga as I really didn't think Natsume Isaku-sensei could write (and draw) such a cute/adorable/hilarious piece of work where everything's pieced together so nicely. She really has pulled it off!

both couples in this manga are beyond cute. this mangaka really has a knack for making tough but adorable seme's X3 and coupled with non-annoying tsundere uke's hehe.

actually what i loved best about this manga was the side characters. they didn't get a whole lot of screen time, but they were so original and amusing and really added to the light-heartedness of both stories. my fav's were the 3 guys protecting amano-sensei from the first story and the gundam otaku with kansai-ben from the second story. they never failed to make me laugh lmao.

I just have to say that Amano is one of my favorite characters ever biggrin I just love how he's goofy but can also be tough and serious. Somehow I never forget this character :3
The manga is nice, it has humor and I found it entertaining. No hardcore stuff here it's very mild Yaoi but it goes great with the ambience of the manga.

First of--OMG, I have the hots for Yamada(seme in first story)!! Haha! I dunno why but I totally love this mangaka's art! No frigging girl-with-bits ukes here!

I love the humor and the sparkling bits are just snort-tastic! Amano is so sly! I love him anyway. At first I was like, "No way is he good enough for Yamada!" then I flip a page and he totally makes me crack-up.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The first story kinda has the GTO, Gokusen thing going. Teacher used to be a delinquent/really strong and believes in his/her students so much. Yamada here is like Shin(Gokusen) but like 100x cuter and total stud-material.

OMG, every time I freaking turn the page, Yamada never fails to make me go fangirl-crazy. Seriously. He has the same effect on me like Michael Buble or Channing Tatum or some hot guy with a UK/Irish accent.*swoon* and OMG, when he smiles!! When he SMILES!!OMlsdfjkls!! And then--AND THEN YAMADA'S FATHER TURNS UP AND I'M LIKE--bleeep---!!

Oh, gosh, this mangaka's art just turns me on too much. I've seen really good art and great art but this one's just...I just love it.

No angsting here, people! The softcore totally suits it and it's just entertaining.
I love Yamada so I thought no one could top him in this collection...then Ikeda comes up--Oh my...but Yamada, you're still my number one! BUT daaamn, Ikeda is just...he's just waaay hotter! NO! Yamada FTW!!

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Props to the scanlators! Favorite lines evaaaar!!(second story) "See? Just sit still and take it..." (Ikeda treating Tounou's wounds)...I just know some wizened fangirl is wiggling some bushy eyebrows somewhere.

One reason why I love this mangaka is that she employs semePOVs...I find it rare in yaoi but her's are just adorable. The uke are lovable too but the semes just make me go fangirl like crazy.(redundant much?)

I'm fine with her endings(even if I want her stories to go on forever!!) and I find myself satisfied... biggrin

I was disappointed that there wasn't much "action" in the first story, but both stories were very cute. I loved the uke from the first couple because he was not what I would usually expect of an uke - it was a surprise, really. I think he would've been equally good as the seme personality-wise, but I suppose that wouldn't look right from an aesthetic viewpoint. The seme was cool; he was a pretty mature guy even though he was younger, and the student. They went well together. I loved the seme from the second story because he really felt for his uke's troubles and stayed by him through them, even though it hurt himself. I liked the stubborness of the uke, too. He wasn't just an arrogant jerk; he was more complex than that. It was interesting to see how they weathered the storm.

This is such a great manga! Especially the first story (chapter 1-2). It didn't felt like a two-shot, really, because so many things happen and you just let yourself be swept away with them. ^^ Yamada (the seme) was okay and cute to but the main attraction was definitely Amano-sensei (uke). God, do I love characters like him! He's cute and funny and very-very open (bordering stupidness, really biggrin), but still you see that he can be very serious and adult-like when the situation requires it. He's not your everyday blushing, crying, weak uke - he's strong both in body and mind (even though he likes to pretend otherwise) - someone who's capable of defending oneself and their beloved. Also, I admire him as a teacher; there was a short scene where he was seriously pissed off and depressed because other teachers bad-mouthed about his class. I like that he stands up for his "kids". ^^

Okay, enough now with Amano. The romance was intensly cuuuuute, and had a nice built-up. The ending was hilarious. This first story is more like a shounen-ai, so even though they sleep together once, nothing is shown. (Usually I'd be pissed because of it, but the story compensate so much for it that I really don't mind! I love this kind of BLs.^^) The art is nice and fresh, a bit shounen-like, as we'd expect from Natsume Isaku: she proved us again that she's doing damn well job as a mangaka. ^__^

The second story was also very nice, but I really don't have the energy to comment on that one, too. To make the already long story short: read this manga! You'll definitely enjoy it. wink
