Description
Set in a mythological time and place, Ja-Dou recounts the struggles of the heirs to kingdoms of heaven and their comrades, to repel the demonic forces that sometimes make their way into heaven.
Ashray is the son of the Flame Emperor, small for his age, and cursed with a fiery temper. He also has to hide the fact that he has a horn, a trait usually associated with demons. His father keeps appointing assistants to keep an eye on him, but keeping up with Ashray is hard work, and the first six have died in the line of duty. Can Alan Seoul, his newly appointed seventh assistant, last a little longer than the first six? Teiou is a prince of the eastern kingdom of air. His best friend and lover is Keika, a mazoku, or demon, in human form. Tiarandear, is the Prince of the western kingdom of water. As chief of all the gods it is his job to maintain harmony in heaven and to direct and control human history. He loves Ashray, but how long can he keep protecting Ashray from the consequences of his violent temper? And if it should become known across heaven that Ashray might be part demon?
(For some reason, halfway into the 2nd volume there still is no mention of the northern prince.)

Well, as for me, I loveeeee Ashray <333
He might seem to be a trouble-maker at first and it's also true tht AshrayxTia story seems confusing in the beginnig. In fact, i didn't think tht Tia is paired with Ashray at all when I first read vol1 LOL. I thought Ashray was to be with the guy who serve him in vol1 (which i forget the name already)
But later on, esp. in vol 3, it will mainly focus on TiaxAshray and it will be a lot better. Actually, I don't agree tht it's trivial thing they can't love each other. Tia's position is very high and he has to stay pure. I mean he can't just love someone cause he has to serve for the good of all people. He also thinks tht Ashray has high status too (Ashray's the son of the Southern land King or something??) and Ashray might need to find someone to marry with. I think thts the reason why their love is kind of tragic and of course I love tht part ; )
I've finish the 4th vol since 6 years ago(i read from some private scan group in my language, but they've disbanded already)
I almost forgot all details so I hope to find the Eng scan version here. But can anyone tell me if Fushichou already dropped the project they havn't made any progress at all since last year... *sob* TT,TT

I actually really like the 4 main characters of this series. They are all unique and interesting in their own ways, and even Ashray falls into that category. Teio and Keika do have a really sweet relationship but it's not much specify in Ja-dou as the other two couple. I guess that's fine by me since I also like Ashray and Tia. Overall, even though this series was kind of confusing at most, later on in the story it gets good and artwork is very beautiful.

I agree with you.The story of Ashray and Tia is too confused and sometimes I feel like hindrances seem to be so ... reluctant . I can't find better words. Because the reasons why they can't be together are so trivial, while they take it so tragically. I dislike Ashray too, he brings too many unnecessary troubles.
However, yes, the good news is that there are sweet moments between Teiou and Keika. In fact, half of the books are about them, despite they are not main characters. And because of it I'm giving Jadou a 9.

I liked the side story about Teio and Keika better(they are so much cuter^^)
and keika is so handsome~.^
I don't like this Ashray, he's annoying. The good news are that there are still some Teio x Keika moments*blush*
Nevertheless this is a good story though somethimes I get a little confused.
