| Absolutely adorable!!! by calstine on November 11th, 2009, 7:32am |

Seriously, I can add nothing that hasn't been said already- only that anyone and everyone can enjoy this manga. It's cute, funny, suitable for all age groups, realistic but incredibly charming. The art is great; not because it's pretty (it's not, really) but in that it is perfectly suited to the mood and theme of the story. Yotsuba is incredibly loveable, and a typical child. People who are tired of seeing five-year-olds behaving like teenagers (like that kid I once saw in a manga who was trying to flirt with his kindegarten teacher) will just want to hug this sweet, innocent child-like kid. The other characters are also not the least bit annoying, and is each endearing in his or her own unique way. If you want a break from the typical manga style, and feel like going for something refreshing that will leave you grinning, then Yotsubato is definitely for you.

There is something about this manga... It's for everyone and I absolutely LOVED it! I'm still reading of course. Its absolutely addicting and brilliant. At first I thought, 'what could be so good about this?' but when I read it I realised how absolutely addictive it is! I wish my childhood was like that! This is actually the type of manga i've been searching for since Skip Beat! A cute day-to-day type feel-good manga. Art is great - Yotsuba looks so cute! ^^ Characters - None annoying, all realistically cute and innocent ^^ I give a thumbs-up to the mangaka!! I am totally buying this manga when I get the chance!! (I want to support it!!)

I have to admit, after a long time trying to avoid things like this I finally got sucked in to Azumanga Daioh when I saw it's OP on youtube. I never had an interest in anything without a strong dramatic or romantic plot before. But after watching every episode of Azumanga Daioh I wanted more, and then In my searching found this (not exactly a long search, considering I just looked up the mangaka on wikipedia). And in all honesty, didn't like the description, it looked to simple, but I figured, why not? I've got nothing better to do, and after the first chapter I was hooked. I love this manga, possibly more than any other manga I've ever read (about 200 so far ). My only regrets in reading this is that one, it'll have to end eventually, and two, that the mangaka has said that he doen't plan to release an anime since he doesn't see the humor transferring well, so my hope of a Chiyo voiced, green haired moving Yotsuba is little more than a dream.
Though, someone will have to explain to me why GTO is at the top of this and Azumanga's recommendations list... |

This manga is one of the best in its genres (comedy and slice of life). Actually I can't understand, why sth so simple can make me laugh so hard, but who cares If you want to laugh, read Yotsubato!

| Really, there is nothing but awsomeness to be found while reading this. The main character is adorable and one can't help but laugh at everything she gets up to! I love it to death. People might not see the joy I get from reading this, just by the summary, but read the first chapter and you'll be hooked. |

| A rare find. by SCKing88 on June 29th, 2009, 4:14am |

I started reading it simply because it was featured on a site. Let me tell you this manga is excellent, truly excellent. The storytelling is so well done, and the characters grow on you to the point where it feels as though you know them personally. Best thing though by far, is the comedy... Yotsuba will have you laughing & smiling the entire time.
Highly recommended.

Another reason why when I grow up, I want a daughter. This easily gets a 10 by me. The simplicity of this manga is done exceptionally well and is extremely well planned out. Every single moment has a airy breathing moment of innocence and fun. The homely feel of the different family situations aren't distraught and distorted but reinforced with candid trust. The characters are greatly varied and balanced out for a good range, though, I would like to see more of papa Ayase. But other than that, I love it every time yotsuba infects everyone else with her child innocence. Hilarity ensues. |

This manga is absolutely great, there really aren't any negatives about this (at least not yet, but I'll be optimistic and hope for the best).
I first came upon this page on here mangaupdates by looking for similar manga to Hotman, Usagi Drop, and My Girl (Sahara Mizu) but the plot stated really didn't entice me into researching it or reading a single chapter. I was more or less looking for a manga focused primarily on a father-daughter scenario, so I ignored this for awhile. A few weeks later, I found volume 1 in my home, later to know my 11 year old sister borrowed it from her school library. Completely coincidental. I browsed various pages quickly but still ignored it, until the next day when I suddenly felt like reading it (I was really hooked on "fatherly" manga then), so I decided to give this a shot and also show further (scanlated) volumes to my sister who wanted to read the others as she read the first volume three times. That said, it goes to show this manga is by far not something to ignore. After reading the first volume, I was hooked like drugs, and kept reading on that day non-stop until I caught up to the latest chapter (ch. 60); 11 AM to 5 PM
In addition, like others have said, this manga is for everyone, especially those who are down or in sorrow from distress, it would surely cheer them up with a smile.

| Hilarious and refreshing. by StarlightDreams on April 8th, 2009, 9:52pm |

That's what I feel about this manga. I have to thank some people for telling me to read it, I'd certainly regret it if I didn't. Yotsuba is hilarious and cute, making the story just entertaining to read. Her daily adventures may be a bit repetitive but that doesn't matter, since this is a slice of life manga. I can't think of a chapter where I haven't laughed. I just love it, the simplicity and the humor is just great. I recommend it to anyone, it's hilarious, if you haven't read it, you're just missing out.
