Not the worst of these stories

It just needed to be a couple of volumes shorter. This author can't handle complicated plots, yet they just can't resist. The main character starts off good, but he/she just kept getting character assassinated over and over again to enable the stupid, cringey plot. I had to keep reminding myself why I liked them in the first place, and I'm sure the love interests had to too. Except for the main character's beauty, they really didn't have a reason to be so madly in love with him/her, all he/she did was cause trouble(cause the plot demanded it).

The author really should've focused on developing the romance instead of escalating the frustrating plot that was never going to have a satisfying conclusion. Some of these characters get away with straight up serial killings, barely a slap on the wrist. Not to mention the stupid blood oath plot line that was such a big source of drama, yet concludes with a big ol wet fart. A permanent vampire marriage, that doesn't require both party's consent for some stupid reason, and a boy/girl with a face that involuntarily enchants anybody who sees it, the same boy/girl who has been repeatedly kidnapped and almost forcibly married in the past. Nobody sees the problem with leaving such a huge weakness wide open? Really?

Such a shame too, the one time the author has an excuse for their characters being excessively violent, unsympathetic and obessive. Make them literal bloodthirsty, inhuman, souless creatures lol

Complicated

It certainly got complicated after a while but I still loved it when I was able to figure out what was going on. A little too complicated and a needlessly complicated romance, but it's still my favorite manhwa to date.
Though I refuse to call the main character a girl, screw what the categories say.

OMG! What did I just read? =_=

I hate manhwas. I can't stand the art and the stories are generally do not flow as well as manga does. But for the second time in my life, I've tried yet again to try reading a manhwa. . . . Why? Why did I even bother? =_=

The story generally sounded interesting, tempting me to read it. Unfortunately, what I got was something disastrous. What is this, some poor excuse of Twilight or something?? The gender bending in this manhwa REALLY sucks! And the flow of the story. . . I hate it! And the characters are such drama queens(yes, every single one of them!) that you just wanna strangle them!

Mind you, I'm not saying this after one chapter. I read every single chapter, hoping, PRAYING that it would get better. The end result, I'm never picking up another one of these again! All the girls are turning into psychos and the guys are just ergh! Bleegh! The art work is all so similar! The only way you can tell who's a guy and who's a girl is by their hair! Couldn't you at least make girls and boys have distinct face styles to not confuse them? Hate, hate, hate!

IF YOU WANT TO READ SOME OVER DRAMATIC, PSYCHO GIRLS, EVERYONE-LOVES-THE-MAIN-GUYS-FOR-NO-REASON-AT-ALL, POOR TWILIGHT IMITATION, be my guest and read it.

If however you do not, TURN AROUND AND RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! I spent a day reading all of it, it's a day I will never get back!!

I actually kinda liked this one...

Compared to the author's usual crappy works, this one is actually a gem backed by history of trash. I thought the gender bender beginning was really unnecessary, since it was obvious that the author was going to have the main character identify as a female by the end of the series. SO why bother? She didn't even do a good (realistic) job of capturing the main char's reactions.

Nonetheless, a lot of this was interesting to me, and despite the load of cliche that rains on the readers every chapter, this manwha was bearable. I started to like some of the characters, and the cliche stuff became funny for me as I started hunting them down and counting them. (lost count eventually so I gave up)

anyways, this is pretty trashy, but it's one of the author's better works.

My biggest issue with the series was how every character had to be a drama queen/king, and that characters kept contradicting what they had just said. Like someone would say "Leave me! I never want to see you again!" and then in the next chapter, they say "You have no right to leave me!" If it was just once or twice, it wouldn't have been a big deal, but it happens CONSTANTLY!!! Who is this trying to kid? Anyway, if you want a vampire or gender bender story, there's a ton better ones out there. This is pretty cheap. And the art is FUGLY.

WARNING the book is a little confusing at first but Yoo Da-In is a guy when he first pretends to be seo wool's girlfriend. The action was great and there was a little bit of mystery. Awesome the ending made u feel like the author might do a sequel just for fun and i'd totally read it.i'd read this book again just because it was so much fun the first time.

Not worth it

A lot of reviews said the beginning was good, but I put it down even before finishing the first chapter. I found the art incredibly awkward and ugly. When you can't tell the gender of the character and when every minor character looks the same, you know the artist didn't invest any care or attention to her art. The backgrounds were just plain lazy. It looks more like a start-up web comic, than a professional, published manhwa.

The story did nothing to save it. The beginning was way too abrupt and I couldn't sympathize with the main character at all. I felt more for one of the by-standers who got the last line!

I love this one. believe me or not I read this book 4 months ago and I absolutely fell in love with it and it made me a fan of han yu rang and gender bender mangas. Wow great story, lovely art and absolutely beautiful manga. I read this 4 months ago and I started reading this again today and I am still very interested. I will definitely read this and love in the mask again. There is a special corner of my heart reserved only for these two mangas and xxx holic.

No surprises here. Han Yu-Rang terrorizes humanity yet again with another one of her God-awful, mass-produced manhwa pulps. MBIAV started out well enough, a cliché storm, to be sure, but at least an entertaining read. Then, Yu-Rang opened her Pandora's Box of reused plots, characters, faces, and other assorted tropes, and it all went to hell in a handbag (not like I was expecting anything less from her, though). What originally appeared to be heading in the shounen-ai direction quickly became some weird, gender bender, body-snatching, character-derailing transgender crap about a psychotic, kinky vampire chick who uses her son's body to exact revenge by spreading her legs... or something like that. It got pretty damn confusing around that part. And, you know, it wasn't even a legit transgender story that it turned into, either, which sort of killed any hope it may still have had at decency.

Okay, I get that Kkonnim is trying to make a quick buck by pumping out this garbage like babies in a field for the general public to brainlessly consume, but why is it that all of their "authors'" stories end up in some sort of freaky, surrealistic funk wherein sharks are jumped for sport and plot and character are thrown to the dogs? Honestly, it's worse than a Korean drama and yet nowhere near as exciting.

My advice to anyone considering this manhwa: Don't invest time in this craptastic series or in any Han Yu Rang/Hwang Miri/whatever other fake name Kkonnim comes up with to market their assembly line comics under; you’ll just be disappointed in the end that you wasted time reading such tripe. I wish groups would stop scanlating these insults to manhwa and pick up some decent series instead. These puppies are the biggest scams in the comic industry.
