This story is very nice and enjoyable.
The plot is interesting, the design is good and the manga isn't too long. I recommend you read it because story is very nice to spend time. Although the manga is a little 'predictable, involves readers.

I loved the art. I thought Ako's brother was extremely attractive, and the overall appeal of the characters were better then normal, especially for the male characters. But as far as the plot goes in the first volume, it was very sub-par. I didn't see any real anger after Ako knew her parents got killed by the the same man who made her into a vampire. Even when she is off mind control, there is no retaliation, cunning thinking, or even much thought about what happened to her family other then shock in one minor occation. The subject of her poor murdered parents (as well as tons of other random women) is used more as some kind of way to just get them out of the way, so they wont be in the way of this Twilight type romance. It's really so sad, and disapointing. Anyway, Ako really lacks depth to me in that regard, and it's pretty frustrating as she might be starting to fall in love with KOH, with absolutely no thought about her parents, even if he is her master now.
I can only hope that in the next volume, her flat personality can be part of the story, like for example, maybe after KOH making Ako his slave, it effected her anger, and she will get stronger with defiance. But as of now, the only thing that would probably keep me reading this book (and probably only reading the 2nd volume in a bookstore, and not buying it like the first one) would be for Ako's brother, who is not very far along in the book yet, and is still pretty much unknown on his future actions.

However,Yuuya (Ako's brother) really loves his sister, and I can believe that some yummy possessive/ obsessive love is coming down the pipe, but so far with Ako's lack of personality, and the weirdo Koh, the manga's pretty much a major turn off. It really makes it seem like this author should stick with drawing only and not writing. (As even other parts of Ako's personality are very flat and unemotional like a mindless drone.)

UPDATE !PLEASE READ!: I AM LOOKING FOR AN EDITOR FOR LOVEPHOBIA VOLUME 1.

This book was fairly predictable at times yet at others it wasnt there were some unforseen twists which were, in my mind, fairly shocking. some of the things i found fairly confusing though and was a little weirded out by the sibling relationship. the drawings were absolutely gorgeous and i enjoyed the characters development so far. I also enjoyed that the vampires werent portrayed as evil or good there were both and there were layers to the vampires. i also liked the heirarchy that was developed. in all i fully enjoyed it and look forward for more.

Lovephobia is another shoujo with vampires and basically a darker shoujo with some mature elements.

1) For a first volume, the story pace is quite fast and predictable. A lot of things happen within 3 chapters that the whole volume is of.

2) A little generic story. You have a typical 16-yrs-old girl who has a normal daily routine and suddenly she is introduced to a new world, the world of vampires. She also becomes a vampire because she is bitten by another vampire, named Koh.

3) There are many sexual elements. Koh is one of those possessive guys who is trying to seduce Ako through various ways, especially when he bites her. And the fact that now he is Ako's master. Expect some small nudity too.

4) It seems that this manga will have some of incest too with Ako's brother. The author is trying to mix a lot of forbidden love elements. (Like Ako x Koh, it is obvious that they will fall in love.)

5) The characters felt quite shallow. Ako doesn't stands out at all, she is just a shy girl who hasn't shown much of personality. And even if her parents are killed, later she doesn't seems to mention it. Koh is somewhat like Kyohei from Midnight Secretary... A dark-haired bishie, mysterious and possessive. After all, most shoujo titles use that archetype for guys. And then you have an overprotective brother, Ako's brother who seems to have a thing for her.

As for the other characters, from the vampire clan, they weren't interesting either.

The artwork is decent but nothing outstanding either; There aren't many details and the author makes her characters quite skinny, like CLAMP does.

Ok, it's the first volume, we still have a way to go. But I have some expectations that it will improve. However, I enjoyed the first volume but only story-wise, since the characters were too typical.
