As a little boy, Si Mun, the grandson of a famous shaman, gained the ability to see—and communicate with—ghosts. His grandmother gave him a talisman which rid him of this ability and erased his memories of any supernatural phenomena he had witnessed.

Years later, Si Mun is working a hectic, yet ordinary job as a homicide detective in the Korean police force. His grandmother has since passed on, but the powers she sealed away appear to be reawakening...

Hello~ I just love S. I. D. and I know how wonderful it is. It's discontinued in Korea too so we'll never find out everything, but you can at least continue to read.
I'm translating the chapters starting from chapter 61 and am posting it on my blog. I'm only doing translation since cleaning and other take too much time :S

If interested in reading at least translations, come to

This is definitely one of my favorite webcomics, and it's reminiscent of what the major shounen mangas of today (ex: Naruto, Bleach, etc.) used to be like in their glory days. It's action-filled, moving at a quick pace that lets the plot flow smoothly along, but it doesn't take away from the story, nor does it make the pace feel rushed.

The characters are extremely well drawn out and the colors are rich and vibrant, and the author is able to contrast nicely between the tension-filled moments and the action-filled moments. There's just the right amount of thinking to balance the fighting and the ghosts.

Granted, it's not a perfect story. Yes, it is a little cliche (the main character can fight ghosts? Random guy shows out of nowhere?) in some aspects, but that doesn't take away from the story. S.I.D. isn't built on those cliches and I have very high expectations for it.

Definitely give this one a read. It's well-worth it and the team did an excellent job with translating and typesetting. This webcomic is high-quality, highly entertaining, and highly recommended.

Today, after re-reading the 70-odd English chapters available, I felt the urge to know (despite my utter lack of Korean) what the author was up to. So I clicked likely looking buttons and links from his blog and—

BEH eek LD!!!

—two more chapters existed!

I've read this series three or four times and, while it's awkward in a few places, it is solid and one of my favorites overall in the genre. I really like the characters, the general set-up, and the atmospheric color that kicks in when battles start.

I like it enough to look at the art to try to guess the story in the Korean chapters still untranslated. Dare I hope to read more in English someday?

The art is stunning - the colours and amazing graphics make each page look like a work of art and will captivate you. It's especially breathtaking when powers are being used- usually I don't like full colours but in this case, it enhances the art and makes this manhwa far more enjoyable.

The main characters are easily likeable and there are bishies- rejoice! The plot will pull you in immediately, with the right amounts of mystery and action being put in so the reader doesn't feel lost or bored.

Even if you're not usually into webcomics, I would definately reccomend trying this one out.

I didn't rate this manhwa higher because I get emotional easily in RL and all the side-stories in it had unresolved, sad endings. It affected me and I cried a lot.
The art is amazing, the whole concept seemed promising but it was discontinued in Korea and so many things were left without explanation.

It really sucks that this was discontinued. I wish I could read Korean so I know the reason sad Anyway, this manhwa is good and there things left unanswered so I hope it gets continued one day.

UPDATE: Whoohoo! It did get continued! I'm glad, because this is really the only story of its kind (paranormal investigation) that I enjoy.

I will say this: the coloring and art is STUNNING in my opinion. In the realm of digitally drawn webcomics I would say this is one of the best, up there with Noblesse. Beautiful rendering and the ghosts are satisfyingly freaky looking. And the main character (though the hair reminds me of Leven Thumps if anyone knows what that is) is very nicely drawn, as well as the other characters. Also, while the premise is pretty typical (normal, hardworking guy can see and fights ghosts) the way it's carried out is interesting just the same. I wish this one would update faster, because the plot is starting to get interesting. Can't complain though... Raw Crossing probably has a lot on their plate.

Update: I'm crying now. Why is all the best stuff discontinued ??! (ノД`)・゜・。 Will be reading as far as I can anyway. As soon as I can see through my tears.
