I have only read the first volume but I really enjoyed it. The stories were simple, some stranger than others, about the relationship between people, ghost or not. I first went into the manga thinking it would be a bunch of smut, one of those all smut no plot stories because of the genres and I had never touched it before because I simply wasn't interested. And then I was scrolling through the list of manga on mangafox and just decided to try it. I regret not picking it up before.
If you read into it enough, some may say it was deep but I think what is so attractive about it is that it's so simple. The sex is not a frenzy of sweat and desperation but more of calm lust, that is more for the comfort from loneliness or simply because they were horny. It's not even a large part of the plot, simply added so that there is more deepness to the connection between the characters.
The ending of each of the one shots, in a way, feel incomplete but it does not leave a dissatisfying feeling. It feels like an ending but the storyline feels incomplete. I thought about how that makes sense and to me, I think it felt like that because the whole story seemed like an ending.
They are not happy endings but at the same time they are not sad. It feels like even though it's ended, it's continuing, it's just not being told to us. And it's want attracted me towards the story.
It felt like clear water. The storylines were clear and simple, making them really nice to read. I suppose I would call them serene stories.
Even though they had quite darker themes like incest, yaoi and pedophilia, it didn't feel like that at all. It just felt like they were two people who had a relationship. Before you get mistaken, they are not love stories, maybe he first one could be considered romance but when I say "relationship" I meant the connection between the characters.
Anyway, it really plays it off and simple lust but it doesn't feel disgusting.
The emotions that the manga makes you feel is probably almost nothing but something that makes it linger.
