From Hyper Parfait:

In Hades, the world where souls are dealt with, there are special individuals known as Enma, who have the ability to judge the lost souls. The Enma can decide whether souls go to heaven or hell, and are equipped with their own special weapon, known as a Judgement. When an evil soul causes a disturbance in Hades, Kouichiro’s powers as an Enma are revealed and he becomes the first person in twenty years invited to take the Enma exam. After having barely passed the exam, and been partnered with Chizuru, who is rumoured to be “the demon of the intelligence department”, just what will happen to Kouichiro next?

Too short

This kind of stories can't be only a chapter long-it has to be longer in order to be able to give more background information about the characters. The random black haired kid at the start, who was the enma who 'saved' the main? There's too many panels for him to be a touch-and-go character, but at the same time, the only thing we get from him is that he's an enma. The girl, with her horrible background of being so infamous? Needs more background, along with the guy who accompanied them.

Without much background information and story development, this manga is a very normal supernatural amazingly-strong-main-who-forgives-infamous-person-and-does-heroic-stuff. And actually, the plot itself is very stereotypical, and could definitely be expanded with a few more chapters to develop the characters and the plot in a deeper context. It seems to me this was a magazine type one-shot manga...

I didn't mind the concept of passing judgement on someone via combat, instead of through rituals, trials or discussions. Nor did I mind the art or the combat scenes. However, I thought the pacing was a bit choppy and some of the panels a little messy. Btw, the story doesn't really explain why the black-haired kid is hanging around, even though he's supposed to be an Enma. Nor does the art really distinguish whether he's one one of the 3 kids hanging around the protagonist.

It was a decent read but lacked the emotional impact and depth of the other story the writer did. For me, just another typical fighting + supernatural oneshot 'cos much of the potential wasn't really expanded on. The interactions between the cast could've been expanded on and their characterisation could've been strengthened. And the combat could also be a bit more compact or if not, innovative.
