Description

Gian Carlo Bourbon Del Monte, a young member of the mafia, is better known by his nickname "Lucky Dog" due to his incredible good luck.

I think that Lucky dog visual novel is way too better than manga. Srsly. I have played all pairings through (GianCarlo Bourbon del Monte x Bernardo Ortolani, Gian x Luchino Gregoretti, Gian x Giulio di Bondone, Gian x Ivan Fiore) and they was all awesome, this manga doesn't fill my expectations for this fantastic yaoi game. I'm a bit disappointed that there's no BL in this but it's still early so at least I can hope. I'm happy to finally understand what's going on since I don't understand Japanese so I just skipped through the text when I was playing the game for the h-scenes. Pretty surprising, I didn't know it was that dark, Gian seemed pretty easygoing in the prison, I mean it didn't sound that serious by the tone. Well it is a visual novel so the player doesn't get to see the characters doing the gruesome work(getting stuff done). I wonder how this manga will progress/turn out(since in the game different stuff happens depending on the choices you make and which character you're going for), are they just going to skip the intimate scenes or what. Now I just feel compelled to say, GUILIO IS SO CUTE!!!

There is one major problem with this manga. What is it? THE NAMES DAMN IT! Italian or not, it's damn hard to memorize. Took me 5 chapters to get the names down >.>. That makes 1 name per chapter I suppose? In any case, because of the naming, I have no idea what was going on for the first three chapters. Need to go back and reread it. But otherwise, there's really no complaint about this manga. The art's nice and clean, story is pretty original and interesting. While there's not much else to say, there is absolutely nothing bad about this manga except being a lil confusing due to the above mentioned.

I can barely believe nobody has made a comment on this manga yet, since it is seriously good. First of: The plot. You cannot find a lot of prison/ mafia plot which is anticipating, mysterious yet amusing these day. All of the characters are great. Each has an individual personality which makes it a delight to the the protagonist interacts and combines them together. The art has nothing to be complained about. I especially like the way the mangaka draws this creepy creatures that follow Gian's thoughts. Might as well add that even though it is based on a BL game, this manga has no yaoi or something similar factor.
