Description
No matter how hard he thinks about it, Todoin Seiya cannot figure out why he doesn't have a girlfriend in his 16-year lifespan. Physically attractive, naturally smart, athletic and, on top of that, comes from a wealthy and politically significant family. And it's not like he hasn't tried either; but every girl he asks out flat out rejects him. Seiya sets a goal for himself to get a girlfriend by the time high school ends and rejection isn't going to stop him from trying again. But it sure is heartbreaking when you get rejected this many times without knowing why.

Sums up my real life
by vanana

As a guy who have read this, I've never thought that it's freaking similar to my real life experience, yep, I'm not Joking, I tried to court several girls, only to end up in tatters that I didn't feel trying again, as much as how logical it is to see how failure the mc was, the moment it's freaking similar it is that I realized that my actions was all for naught.

Ok I'll will not delve in the plot, but the core of this story was to warn those inexperienced guys when it comes to romance, this manga shows not to do, it's a torture to read, but bear that torture if you don't wanna end up like me who was traumatized, and got my self-esteem disappear. Try to read it if you want to court women, and read it if you're looking for realistic approach of romance, not the idealistic one where fluffy dreams and fantasy and all is well was the content, and lastly, try to read to apply what you must not do, I bet there's no need for the natural ones and for the talented ones, but for those socially awkward, then this is the best you can get.

As a guy, I question why the hell girls gets into relationship with guys with no redeeming factors, and even fat ass bully wanna be gangster with no face was able to get girls, (oh I'm not bullied or anything, were buddies because we like music as we play violin, and we love anime and porn) but hell, forget about getting into relationship, this fat loser got his girl pregnant like I was contemplating how the fuck did he do that.

Then there's me, I may not be that attractive but I'm not as ugly as hell as those wanna be gangsters I know who only thinks about cum dumping, and I'm already questioning whether characteristics and face is relevant to this day, forget about showing how rich, how handsome and how talented the person is, all I'm seeing is bunch of Beauty and the Beast Real life edition.

How to prevent being single 101, How to get Girlfriend 101, I've read some of them, I tried to court, but after getting piling up this hell of experience, all I can say, I quit. I'll never try to get into relationship again, I'll just believe in some fate out there, I mean Literally, all the girls I tried to court has someone in their life, for fucks sake, it's not like I gave up after 3 girls, I tried courting more than 7 girls and the results ended up the same, I can accept it sometimes since the boys they like was attractive, school celebrity and quite popular. But hell, there's this girl I thought I got, only to be rejected that he has a guy he likes, she showed me the the name and I searched it out of curiosity since I got rejected many times before and I wanna assess whether this guys is better than me or not, then, I saw his picture (flips the table in my mind, getting autistic, screaming in my head, I don't know how many cursed I spouted in my mind while my real self was dumbfounded like poker face meme looking at the computer) what the actual fuck, he.... he's fucking ugly, this girl that rejected me was an eye catcher, as people will look at her when she passed by, I tried to wring out my courage just to end up as friends, and she just bombed me that she likes the guy full of pimples, forget about how unattractive he is, I felt he's a fucking douche bag in his Facebook posts, like showing what a typical gangster wanna be, I could have accept it if it was the guy I know who's freaking attractive with celebrity face who has a bright future going into scholarship she was closed with, but the one she showed me was the fucking opposite of what I've expected that till this day I just can't fucking accept it, I don't know about his personality, but I think he is good based on the rumors (I hope so), but I was still taken a back at that one.

As a guy who experience being NTRed more than 7 times, this manga only reminded me of my failures, yet as a reminder, this manga showed me NOT WHAT TO DO, NOT WHAT TO THINK, NOT WHAT TO EXPECT, AND NOT TO TRY. SO READ IT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO EXPERIENCE NTR!!! Recommended as a "Not to do in romance 101" also try to read the positive ones like Skill of Lure and Love Riron which is "How to do Romance 101" ... I still don't want to court, but at least I know how to this day, and If you really want to have relationship and you don't know what to do, search Pick Up Artist, a lot of them will show up, these guys will help every awkward guys like me, and they provide comprehensive details on how to seduce women, oh by the way, my favorite was Vincent DiCarlo, Mystery and Style, this top three is essential, but I haven't completed them yet.

Hilariously stressful read

It's really easy to sympathize with the protagonist's struggle with girls. It's not easy to sympathize over and over again. Seiya can't get a girlfriend because he's often at socializing and it doesn't really improve much over the manga. And you to to admire the author's gall to make a romance manga where there is no successful romance. Whether you enjoy this manga is the same question of if you can root for the college dropout who never made anything out of himself. Do you root for him? Or do you shake your head in disgust?

Personally, I love rooting for the underdog.

This manga kinda sad

As many people say , this manga is one of hella torture to read

basically the MC was pretty much creepy , and so des[erate asking a girl to going out in front of his boy friend.

To be honest, the MC nearly perfect, his problem as his mental state and his kinda shy personality which turned into "creepy" mode and "desperate" mode till the end of the manga.

You can't blame him, he had childhood trauma but oh well

I really pity this guy, he had everything but no love , to be honest, he surely can achieve success in life right ? why don't he ask his father to arrange some match making, he sure will be happy.

He has chance to get the girl but he got very very bad luck and he also kinda indecisives, either the girl had boy friend already(and he forced it), or the girl likes him but for the sake of plot not make him get any girl friend, or the girl turned out to be nasty(he turned her down).

for god sake i want this manga get a good ending, hook up this guy with a girl , make him got married. He keep a diary of his failure right ? why not make it right, he got grandchild, and they managed to found it, go to the grandpa MC and say grandpa what it is, and the mc say "let me teel you my love life story"

to be honest i really want the MC to ended up with Rika, the maid, because i feel they suit each other

There is no moral in the end, this manga is not funny, I never thought it was going to be in the beginning anyways. I'm not going to right a long review on this but I will not recommend this manga. It is a total waste of time with a mediocre ending.

Spiral Downwards (Spoilers ahead...though I want to spare you some dissappointment before you read it)

What I learnd from the manga? No matter how smart, rich, goodlooking, athletic or hardworking you are, you wont get a girlfriend. But no, let's be real. Although some of that has been his own fuckups, it's strange how he never got one. I agree whith what others posted here, that he could get a little bit too enthuisiastic (read creepy). But damn, if he didn't try. Also he seemed to have developed feeling for some of theese girls.Though some of his situations with his "targets" have never been really resolved. And don't get me started about the ending.

The words of wisdom form that guy that really just NTRed him at the end. Guy:"Hmm, so then, wanna go out?" girl "Urr.. okay!"
Just like that. He has been trying the whole manga, and that guy just walks up and does it without trying.
Which isn't the worst. Because afterwards that other guy said: "I mean, you think about wheter you really like a girl once you start going out lol"
...
The FUCK!? What kind of lesson are we suppose to learn about this? Feelings don't matter, what you do doesn't matter, trying hard doesn't matter. And oh, to get a girlfriend, just date a girl. That is confusing cause with effect. In this case, effect effect. Maybe I'm just a romantic, or just get to overworked about a manga, but that end was seriously stupid and didn't resolve anything and put him back to square one. Maybe he did grow a little in character. He could speak to girls relatively normally at the end after all. In the end, what bugs me the most ist that the title question: "Why Can't Seiya Todoin, 16-Year-Old, Get a Girlfriend?" Never gets resolved.

The thing about this manga is the main character doesn't grow at all. Matter of fact, he get's more desperate and creepy as the manga moves on. He becomes so desperate for a girlfriend and it doesn't seem to matter who she is. He confesses to almost every girl that shows him a bit of kindness and then they disappear from the manga not to be seen again. He needs to learn to be content with himself before he even has a chance of being a worthwhile boyfriend to anyone. Like I said, there is no growth in this story, nothing changes. It's very monotone. The Story has one gimack that is used over and over and over again. It was a good idea for a story, It just wasn't pulled off very well.

Starts out great

... but gets irritating around 30-40 chapters in. There is a sudden character change in the MC, who until then is a pretty realistic, respectable character. Suddenly he becomes desperate to get a girlfriend, going as far as to ask a girl out in front of her boyfriend. I mean, what the fakk? Ever since that point in the story, he starts doing creepy stuff that's really putting me off. I guess the real reason I'm still reading is because the girls he keeps falling for are super cute.

Repetitively Dull

Basic premise is that of a guy who is inexperienced in love and is desperate to get a girl friend.

Story consists of small arcs where our MC falls for a girl, tries to woe her and ultimately fails.

There are other series with male leads going through relationships to find true love but these usually contain slice of life elements, character growth and a core group of central characters who act as a foil to the MC. This series does not contain these supplementary elements which lead to a repetitive and predictable formula. Humor is the tool the author has used to augment the story line and keep this ticking but the humor is weak. It consists of our MCs overreactions to situations combined with his desperation. I just feel embarrassed for the MC rather than amused.

This literally had me laughing from the cover. "Why?" xD
Seeing as the whole premise is based on him trying to get a girlfriend I guess he isn't going to get one....ever. Or at least til the end. But I'm gonna try and ignore/forget that <,<

The first chapter was a blast and the second one even funnier. After that though... it all went downhill and turned into ridiculous situations and repetitive cringe humour. Worse is how the lead character hardly learns anything from his experiences and most of the characters just turn up for a few and then disappear entirely. There is 0 character growth unfortunately and the ending was done quite poorly. I echo jeffreymgibson's comments. It's a shame this series turned out so poor because it had such great potential.
