In this work, we have realistic situations of parenting with some funny stories mixed in. Tezuka gives us the unique opportunity to look at the issue from both adult and child points of view. There's also a slight fantasy touch at the beginning, which gives a gentle feeling of wonder to the early childhood period, which is slowly wiped away with reality harshness as the kid grows up. The parents are not ideal in this manga, certainly, and Tezuka is ironic to his own self here.

One should be aware that this work mentions sexual themes here and there, both as gag elements and plot elements. For example, you can have a glimpse on how Tezuka failed at sex-educating his own kids))

The stories are pretty enjoyable, and I'm re-reading in just for fun the 3rd or 4th time already.
