This manga initially seemed like nothing more than a typical love triangle story, but it quickly trailed off the predictable path and turned out to be completely different from the norm. I gotta give it props for daring to step out of the box, which in a way did make it rather refreshing. It wasn't the smoothest ride, but the payoff is worth it imo.

as usual takaido tells an interesting story, but this one left me feeling depressed about what's commonly called "the human condition". i do understand honda, and i don't think it's that he doesn't want a big romance, but that he is afraid of a huge obstacle: society's view of homosexual relationships, which means sudou would become an outcast to his friends and business acquaintances if they were found out, and that, or the required secrecy in turn might make him resent honda, and in the end return to women. honda doesn't want to do this to sudou, and he doesn't want to get hurt himself either; to give himself to a sweeping romance only to lose everything in the end. this is a much more realistic depiction than the usual "gay for you" scenario, because contrary to the lovely BL idea of gender not mattering when it comes to love, the reality is that more often than not it does matter, and much more so in a homophobic society (japan is more so than the west these days). i can't say i entirely blame honda; primarily because sudou has already pulled back once (honda doesn't know why and thinks it's got to do with the large obstacle). man, the lack of communication here is really sad; only sahashi actually says what he's thinking. i don't understand why sudou pulled back; he knows honda well enough to later recognise the performance with sahashi was an act, so why is he earlier listening to idle gossip from total strangers?
the story is solid as it is, but i wish there were more -- in BL i really do prefer happy endings, and this doesn't even have a HFN one.

Why is there no continuation of this? I really liked how this story was going; as others have said, the characters were all very real and believable, which is rare among the Yaoi genre these days. The flow of the story was a bit choppy, but other than that I was still very much engaged in it.
What I'm most dissatisfied with is how the ending doesn't seem like an ending at all; I really wish there was some kind of sequel for it.

Very believable, what? Happens all the time... the guy has trouble coming out of the closet and so, acts distant and sometimes like a jerk, its his fault that honda goes to the outed one for confort sex, and meantime the fellings mix... off couse they all seems very reasonable people, so things go smoothly... me being the one cheated? vengeance! oh the funny part is the hipocondriac friend... so likeable...

I get it.
He's not indecisive. He doesn't want a huge romance story where he has to put everything he has on the line and then turn it upside down to follow his love. He's scared by such relationships. And if you pay attention at the comments about the kissing-someone-you-don't-love, and what he thinks after acting the cheating... well you'll see that he is just not ready for something so deep. He wants something without deep romance, and his new colleague is perfect.
Plus, great fun with the hypochondriac guy with glasses.

what an annoying indecisive guy, why do both these guys like Honda ? doesnt it bother them that he does sexual things with both guys? i mean his lover ( is in the hospital and he cant even wait for him to come out, he just does sexual things with a new guy, for no good reason, is he that desperate for sex? i mean the guy Honda likes kisses him and then Honda lets some other guy grope him, wouldnt a normal person push them away? and at the end its obvious that Honda likes the other guy and yet he stays with the one he doesnt like and they end up happy?? it was weird one moment Honda is with one guy because the other guy gives Honda up, but then the one Honda is with gives him up to the other guy. its like come on already, make up your mind! and one guy even said that Honda is not the type to cheat, are you kidding me? after everything he did? he is obviosly the time of guy that cheats, and doesnt care who he does it with, and doesnt feel guilt.

It felt like a soap opera, and while I suppose that isn't a bad thing if you like soap operas, I don't. The art was pretty iffy too, though I did like the resident hypochondriac, he was pretty much the high point of this story for me. Editing was good, no breaks or bad pages.
I like seeing stories that push the mold of this genre I enjoy, I just don't like the direction this one is pushing. Being innovative and making me feel like I'm reading a fresh story is great, making me feel like I'm watching a telenovela, not so much.

This was, surprisingly, a yaoi that didn't fit into the yaoi-mold. It was original and the main character was very real. His indecisiveness was exactly what one would expect in such a situation. And, unlike other yaois, the uke got to chose who he wanted to be with without the semes going crazy and attacking each other or molesting him at every oppurtunity. That's not say there wasn't any sex, because there was. If you're looking for something original, give this one a try.

The illustrations are very good - each character is unique and believable. The story is also believable and somewhat unique. I wish it were longer and more detailed, but what the author had done so far was satisfying and entertaining. I had a lot of fun with with series, and couldn't tell at all how it would end. Some people may not like the indecisiveness of the protagonist, but I think it was true to his character and also necessary (since his choices were both unreliable). The story doesn't drag you around or tease you (i.e. Ranma), which is a blessing.
